I pace around the living room, biting my nails.

How could she have memory loss? She doesn't remember anything in the past two weeks. And a lot has happened in the past two weeks! Oh my god! She's only known me for two weeks! Everything before that nothing happened to her that had to do with me! Fuck! This is bad.

"So, when can I go back home?" I look up and see the pretty girl that's very clueless right now, sanding on the bottom step of the stairs.

"Well," Dennis walks over to her. "We've been talking and we've decided it's best to stay here with Carlos."

  She stares at him.

"You're my dad." She whispers to herself and he nods.

"Yes, and as your father I will make decisions for you. And right now the decision is that you stay here with Carlos until I say otherwise."

  "Who's Carlos?"

I feel a slight pain in my chest at her words. "Who's Carlos?"

Dennis points to me and she looks at me. I give her a small, forced smile but she doesn't smile back, just looks back at Dennis.

"Why?" She asks. All three of us sigh annoyed.

"Because Carlos is your bodyguard. So you'll be protected by a gang who's after you." Dennis explains to her for the thousandth time since last night!

"But my stuff isn't here." She argues.

"Well he can take you by to your apartment later so you can pack your shit. That sound good?" He asks getting frustrated. She takes a step back and nods. "Great." He claps his hands together before turning to the door. "Goodbye, take good care of her Carlos." He says over his shoulder.

"Good luck Carlos." Adam pats my shoulder. "Be glad she came back. Not remembering us is way better than her being dead completely." He mutters in my ear before smiling at me and following Dennis.

"Julie, come on, I don't have all day!" I shout from the couch as I pet Misty. Then it occurs to me, she only has one arm.

I sigh and get up and walk into her room, then chuckle and roll my eyes.

"Why didn't you just ask for help? I would've helped." I say walking over to her dresser and standing beside her.

"Well I didn't know that." She shrugs as she folds clothes and puts them in a hot pink suitcase.

"Well you know it now." I start helping her by grabbing random shirts and putting them in the dresser. "You could say thanks." I mumble.

"Thanks stranger." She says and I give her a look. "What? You are a stranger." I stare at her for a minute before sighing and continuing with the clothes.

We move to the top dresser and a small smile firms on my lips as she opens it, allowing me to see all her bras and panties.

I welcome myself and start grabbing random ones and tossing them into the suitcase.

"Please don't touch those." I look at her to see her face is really red. I chuckle.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt them." I roll my eyes.

"Ok, well if you're going to be weird and take those then can you at least fold them?" She frowns.

"Sure thing princess." I smirk and gently grab them and gently fold them and gently set them in the suitcase.

"Wait!" She shouts and I look back at her.

"What?" I groan as I drop the two heavy suitcases to the floor.

  "What about my cat!"

"Oh my god." I sigh. "Don't worry, I'll call my friend and tell him to come by and take care of her." I tell the worried Julie standing frozen in the middle of the hall.

  "I don't trust them!"

"Well you can, now let's go."

We walk into the house and I just walk up the stairs so I can be done carrying these bags.

"Where are you going?" She asks walking behind me.

"To your room." I say once I get to the second floor.

"I get a room?" She asks sounding surprised.

"Of course, Julie. Why wouldn't you? I mean my house is huge, you think I would just make you sleep on the couch?" I walk into the massive spare bedroom. The walls are white, there's a golden chandelier, there's a king sized bed with dark red sheets and dark red pillows, there's a tall, black bookshelf with thousands of different books and different genres. There's a big, clear glass desk which is very organized and it has pens and pads of paper on it. And some other stuff in the drawers.

"Wow!" Julie gasps. "This is my room!" She squeals and I can't help the smile that appears on my lips.

"Yes Julie, it's your room." I nod.

"Thank you! It's so huge!" She runs skips around in a circle.

"Be careful, your bodies still broken." I laugh. "My rooms down the hall and to the left. Goodnight." And with that I'm out the door. I remember something and run back over to the doorway. "Oh, and Julie," I poke my head into the room and she looks at me. "Thanks for not leaving me. You really had me worried." I say them leave.
