I wake up to the sound of someone downstairs. I sit up and grab my gun out of my nightstand, thinking someone broke in. I get out of bed and carefully walk to the stairs. Cautiously, I walk into the living room but no one's in there, I walk further through the downstairs part of the house until I come to a closed door.

I turn the safety off and put my hand on the handle, ready to shoot the intruder. I slowly open the door and look in, firing my gun at the first movement I see.

The figure screams before collapsing to the floor, lifeless.

I walk over to the body and kick it over. My eyes widen as I see the round face with freckles. I drop the gun to the floor and fall to my knees beside her.

"Julie?" I ask. "Julie, I'm so sorry." My eyes start watering.

How could I do this? I... I shot Julie.

I feel something hit the back of my head and I fall to the ground.

When I look up I see jay grinning at me. How did he get in here?

"My plan worked perfectly Carlos. Disguise some random girl as Julie, make you think she's an intruder, you shout her, then that's s perfect distraction for me to get the real Julie."

I look at the Julie on the floor. She's not the real Julie? Oh thank god. Then where's the real Julie?

"Where's Julie?" I ask looking back at Jay.

"Got her boss." A guy runs into the room with Julie in his arms.

"Carlos!" She shrieks, I jump up and get ready to fight them to get her.

"Ah, Ah, Ah, you stay back. She's ours now Carlos." Jay shakes his head at me.

He takes a syringe and walks over to me.

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Taking Julie." He says as he grabs my arm and brings the needle up to my neck.

"No, no, don't hurt her. Please? Please leave her alone." I plead as he sticks it in my neck. I look at her. "Julie!" I shout. "Julie! Come back!" I beg as I watch her get dragged out. "No! Come back! Don't you hurt her! Please! Being her back!" I fall to the ground. "Please just bring her back? Don't take her away from me too?"

"Carlos, I'm right here." My eyes shoot open and I jump up, or start to but someone's hands push me back down against something.

"It's okay Carlos, you were just dreaming." I look to my left and see Julie. I sigh in relief and grab her hand.

"Oh I'm so glad your okay." I squeeze her hand.

"What were you dreaming about?" She asks.

  "What time is it?"

"Four in the morning. I heard you yelling so I came to in and tried to calm you."

  "Thanks Julie." She nods.

"So what were you dreaming about?"

"The rival gang took you." I decide to tell her.

  "O-oh."

It's then that I remember the whole reason I became her bodyguard, to keep her safe from them. They're still after her. They could be in the driveway right now, or in her bed. They could be hiding in her room, waiting for her to go back so they can take her.

"I'm gonna go back to sleep now, are you okay in here?" I look back at her.

"Um, actually," I don't want to freak her out by saying they could be in this house. "Could you stay in here? For tonight?" She stares at me for a second.

"Well, I mean. I don't know." She shrugs.

  "Please?"

"Ok." She sighs. "Where do I sleep though?" I look around.

"Right here." I pat the spot next to me. She lays down and covers up.

"Goodnight Carlos." She says as I feel her lay her head against my back.

  "Goodnight princess." I say.
