I sigh as I set my phone down on the counter. Poor Julie just wants to know what happened to her. I would tell her. Of course I would, if I didn't know the consequence.

A) She might freak out because she had a heart attack

B) She might call the cops because I was street racing

Or the worst one that could happen,

C) She might never trust me again

I scrub the soap out of my hair under the water as I think about how to get her off my back.

She's been asking me over and over what happened since yesterday! She's even flown paper airplanes into my room that asked what happened. And once, the paper poked me in the eye! And then she ran into my room and apologized. She felt so bad, it made me laugh.

I wrap the towel around my waist before looking at my phone. I'm not surprised when I see four messages from Julie. All asking what the hell happened. I roll my eyes and walk out of the bathroom and down the hall.

"Carlos!" I hear her scream and when I look up she jumps onto me, since I wasn't expecting that I fall on my back with her on top of me.

"Julie, what the hell!" I yell angrily as I rub the back of my head. "What are you doing!"

"You never responded to my texts!"

  "I was in the shower!"

"Oh yeah, well what if I was dying? Would you still be in the shower?" She crosses her arms.

"Um, I don't know, and why would you be dying?"

"I don't know Carlos. Maybe because of a heart attack! And it would be all your fault because I wasn't told anything about it and so I didn't see it coming!" I groan.

"Julie, listen to me very carefully." I say slowly. "I can't tell you because it will scare you and nobody needs you to be scared right now!" I yell.

"Please just tell me." She whines. I lay my head on the floor and turn my head to the right to avoid her pleading eyes. My eyes widen when I see a white towel laying a foot away from me. I slowly look down to see I don't have anything on. I suddenly feel cold.

  "Julie." I say quietly.

"Yeah?" She asks.

"Close your eyes."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

"Tell me first."

"Ok, fine. I need to get up and I lost my towel." I say and she tenses.

"Oh." She says slowly as her face reddens. She slowly puts her hands over her eyes and rolls off of me. I stand up while putting my hand over a certain place and start slowly walking to my towel.

"Can I open my eyes now?" She asks but I don't respond. I hear her scream and I jump and look at her.

"Julie!" I yell as I grab the towel and wrap it around my waist.

"I'm sorry, you didn't say anything so I thought you were gone." She starts biting her nails nervously. "I'm so sorry." She looks at the floor shamefully.

"Ugh, whatever. Just go back to your room and let's both forget this happened." I say.

"Yes sir." She nods and quickly walks away.

That. Was. Awkward.

Not much but at least it's something, right? I'm tired and I've had a long week, bye bye.
