October 10, 1971

It was the day for Queen's first concert on their tour. The whole band and Thalia were all excited and nervous as they waited in their dressing room. Brian was quietly practicing, Roger was tapping his hand on his thigh as he paced back and forth, Freddie was warming up his voice, and John was tightly holding onto Thalia's hand with a worried look in his eyes. John was usually the most nervous of the bunch about performing, unsurprisingly. He was the youngest and the least experienced of the band, so it was natural for him to be more nervous than the others.

Thalia rested her head on her boyfriend's shoulder. "You're gonna be amazing," She whispered into his ear.

John smiled and rubbed his thumb against the back of her hand. He then pressed a kiss to her head.

The couple sat together for a few moments and observed the rest of the band warming up. A sudden wave of nausea passed over Thalia. She stepped away from John quickly.

"I have to go to the bathroom," she announced before leaving the room. As soon as she closed the door behind her she booked it to the bathroom. She ran into the first open stall and released the contents of her upset stomach into the toilet.

After she calmed herself down in the stall she walked out to the sinks and rinsed her face with the tap water.

"Are you alright, dear?" A voice asked from Thalia's right.

Thalia looked over to see a raven haired stagehand washing her hands with a concerned look on her face.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you," Thalia said softly.

With that, the stagehand left.

Thalia looked at herself in the mirror then down to her stomach. Thalia probably hadn't even begun to show, but she was still paranoid by it. John would figure out soon enough. Thalia laid one hand on her stomach and the other she used to wipe a tear from her eye.

After calming herself for another moment, Thalia left the bathroom and went back to the dressing room. The band stopped talking and looked at her with worried expressions, except for John, who didn't know of anything to be worried about. Thalia took her place next to John again and leaned against him. The boys resumed their conversation, but Thalia wasn't listening.

John looked over at Thalia as she was staring at the ground.

"You look upset, love. Is something wrong?" John asked her.

Thalia quickly looked up and plaster a fake smile to her face. "No, no. Everything's great, I was just zoning out." She chuckled.

John nodded. "Okay," He said not entirely convinced. He had noticed that recently Thalia had been a little distant, but didn't know the right time to bring it up with her, especially since they could never be alone without the rest of the band.

A few minutes had passed before the band was summoned backstage. The five of them followed the stagehand backstage, where John quickly gave Thalia a kiss before joining the rest of the band onstage. A huge cheer erupted from the crowd as the band walked onto the stage.
