"We're all in the same game, just different levels; We're all dealing with the same hell, but different demons."

I guess things just don't go well for people around me

I guess things just don't go well for people around me. Some people think of me as the lucky one and others think of me as a survivor. I guess the survivor title fits me better, because no one trusts a survivor until they've found out what they've done to survive.

I plugged in my head phones as I walked into the subway and took my seat.

You're probably wondering how I got into this situation or why I'm still doing it. Well here you have it, my family has terrible luck, I don't know any family members that have made it past 40. Including my parents.

My mom and dad got into a bad accident a little over a year ago, my mom made it through the accident but my dad didn't. While she was recovering in the hospital, she got her tests back and was given six months to live, she barely made it half way.

A few months later, I turned 18 and got custody of my brother. We left the state along with all of the memories that went with it, but to our luck once we got here it took another turn. My brother was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis and has been fighting it for about a year now.

"You have reached station A3."

I got off the subway and made my way to my apartment. I unlocked the door and opened it up to complete madness.

Karla was screaming at Tyler for something, Skylar was laughing at the two of them, and god only knows where Raegan was.

Once they realized I was there they went silent, "We didn't know you were home," Tyler smiled innocently.

I rolled my eyes, "Surprise."

Karla laughed, "You ready for tonight? It's a Friday."

"Yeah," I groaned before turning to Tyler, "You good for tonight?"

"Yeah," he shrugged, "Can Michael come over though?"

"Sure," I replied, not liking him home alone anyway, "He can spend the night, I'll get him home in the morning."
