"Sometimes I purposely push people away to keep myself safe."
Ace and I didn't talk for the rest of the night. I just went back to hustling but didn't make a scene out of it, knowing that Antonio was probably watching my every move.
After we hustled we came home and announced how much money we got. I won for the night with 1,200 dollars. Raegan got 700, Karla got 500, and Skylar got 400.
Once we got home everyone immediately went there own way's. Rather than my encounter with Antonio and Ace, I had a good time. I drank and danced with the girls, and actually talked to them about stuff that didn't involve the boys.
I fell to sleep almost instantly and didn't flinch the entire night.
The next morning I woke up on my own time and it ended up being about noon, I took the day off due to the hustle the night before and my date with Dimitri tonight.
I got out of bed and trotted out of my room, but I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Kason sitting in my living room.
"What are you doing here?" I stayed frozen.
"Can we talk?"
"I've realized even if I say no, you talk anyway," I giggled before continuing to walk to the kitchen.
He stayed close behind me as he spoke, "Did you get the package?"
"Yeah," I replied bluntly.
"And you didn't say anything?" he cocked an eyebrow at me.
"I didn't think it was important."
He was taken back by my words before his cocky personality kicked in, "Then why are you wearing my ring on your finger."
I looked down at my left hand and mentally face palmed myself, "Um-"
"Um nothing," he cut in, "I know you're wrapped up with Antonio and Dimitri right now, but once you finish with them, I'll get you back."
