"Even Satan bows down to his queen."
My heart dropped as she said that her bad dream was about me. Did I hurt her that much?
I looked at her for a few seconds before I pecked her lips, "I'm sorry."
I lifted her back up to her feet before looking down at her, "Tell me more about it."
"I don't want to," I muttered.
When she wasn't well spoken it either meant she was uncomfortable or irritated.
"I don't care Kai," I snapped, "I don't know what I did wrong, but I want to fix it- fix us- fuck even just get rid of the nightmares."
"You can't get rid of them!" She raised her voice before she began walking away.
"Why not?" I ran after her.
"Because we can't go back in the past Jethro! We can't fix something that's already broken!"
"You aren't broken, we aren't."
"Kason, I don't have time for this. Just let me get back to my date, we can talk another time," she snapped before I lost her in the crowd.
Out of anger I stormed towards the bar and took two shots. Almost instantly, two men walked up to me, one on each side. At that point in time, I didn't care who they were and if they were going to kill me or not.
"What'd she say?" My dad's voice rang.
"Everything I didn't want to hear."
"I wonder why," Antonio chimed in from the other side in pure sarcasm.
"Shut the hell up," I snapped at him, "You can't even get her to be your girl."
"I haven't tried yet," he sipped on his drink, "And once I do, I won't be dumb enough to let her go either."
