Chapter 8|' Says the girl who is strapped down to a hospital bed'|
"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I hate–"
"Okay!" Parker yelled in exasperation. "You hate me. I'm sorry. How was I supposed to know that–" He gestures to himself. "–all of this lusciousness would break your arm?"
I growled at him and he jumped back. "You're lucky the doctor said I couldn't move." I hissed. "Or else you'd be dead by now."
Parker rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah," he waved me off. "Says the girl who is strapped down to a hospital bed."
You're probably wondering what's happening. So, when Parker decided to have a 'bro pile', he jumped on my wrist. Literally, he used his feet to jump onto my bed and instead of landing on one of the boys, both feet ended on my wrist. I screamed so loud and started bawling my eyes out as I screamed profanities at him. Suffice to say, Roman and Vinny woke up. Since Mitchell had left early to hang our with a girl, Roman dropped Parker and I at the hospital while Vinny went back to sleep.
Mom and Dad found out as we were trying to figure out what was wrong with it. Dad opened the door, took one look at my screaming figure, Parker crying 'I didn't mean to', Roman running across the room with his fingers pulling his hair, and ushered Mom out of the room. He muttered, 'You're on your own,' before shutting the door.
The reason I'm strapped to a hospital bed is because I don't like needles. Like I'm scared to death of them. When they pulled this big one out, the doctor said that it was to numb my arm. Bitch please, I have seen the killer movies– its always the doctor. So, Parker and a few security guards had to hold me down and when they were able to restrain me, they strapped me down with some duct tape. What a mighty fine establishment we have here, huh?
"Shut up!" I shrieked. "Its your fault I'm in here! I'm mean really? A bro pile? This isn't the Jersey Shore, sweetie."
Parker scowled. "Be grateful that I took time out of my day to drag your ass all the way here. You know I don't like hospitals."
"Well at least your not duct taped to a bed." I shot back.
He stood up and went outside, leaving me confused. He better be getting a doctor...or food. I worked on trying to get out of my tape. But it was kind of hard to do when you can't move your right arm.
Luckily, at the exact moment, Parker strolled into the room with a blonde woman. "Hello Ryder," she said warmly. "My name is Doctor Mathews and I'm here to help you today."
I snorted. No dip Sherlock. "Do you think you could get me out?"
Doctor Mathew's eyes widened. "Oh, of course." She rushed to get scissors and started cutting away. "I am terribly sorry about that. I didn't know they actually restrained you. That's not part of the protocol here. I'll make sure to have a word with them."
"Thanks, Doc." I say politely. "Do you think you could tell me what's going to happen with my wrist?"
Doctor Mathews revealed a x–ray of my wrist. "When Mr. Holloway jumped onto your wrist," We both cast a look at Parker who shrugged. "He didn't shatter it, thankfully, but it did however break it."
"So breaking is better than shattering." I clarified.
She nodded. "Correct. Since it is broken, you will have to have a cast on it. For now, you will have a wrap. And today being Saturday, you should come back on Monday and just look for me. I'll get you all taped up."
