Look at that pic tho lol.

Anyways, this one is a little angsty. Sorry?

"I'm too sober for this."

As soon as Connor said those words, he regretted it. It's not that he was lying. He really was too sober for this. But the look his mother got, of despair and hurt, and the way his father's eyes were cold and narrowed, the way his arm muscles flexed, really made him question his life choices.

And Zoe. The way her head, that had been previously staring at the TV as she tried to ignore the arguing, snapped around to look at him. The way her eyes automatically began to water. The disappointment.

Connor knew he couldn't back down now. He turned away from them all, right out the front door. Away from the calls of his mother, the yells of his father, from Zoe. Away from it all.

Was he really going to get drunk? No.

Did he want to? Yes. Very much so.

But Evan wouldn't like that. Ever since they started dating a few months ago, (the reason his parents constantly yelled at him) Evan had made it very clear that he didn't want Connor getting drunk all the time. And so, Connor had slowly began to stop drinking.

He pulled his phone out of his pocket, but he hesitated. What if Evan was already asleep? What's if Evan didn't want to see him? But deep down, he knew Evan would help him, even if he was already asleep.

Evan picked up on the first ring. "Connor! You're, you're parents called and, and they told me, they..." he trailed off. "Nothing. Just- please, please just come here."

Connor laughed weakly. "Of course I'm coming. But I have to warn you, I'm a bit of a wreck right now."

"That's okay, it's, it's fine. Just come, please, I'm worried."

"Calm down, I'm around the corner," Connor comforted. "Unlock your door, I'll be there in a sec."

"Okay. I'm gonna, gonna hang up now," Evan said, before the receiver went silent.

Connor had barely climbed the steps to Evan's front door before Evan himself cane hurtling out of the house, jumping on him.

"Evan, chill," Connor laughed weakly. "I told you, I'm okay."

"You're parents said that, that you were running away and that you weren't coming back."

"I'm fine. Now, what cheesy Disney movie you wanna watch?"

Evan laughed, smiling. "You pick."

"As long as you're happy, I'm okay," Connor said. And they headed inside to laugh away their problems.

There you go, E. Now you must post.

Anyways, how'd you like it? Let me know in the comments!
