"i was actually just looking for you"

When it was finally time for lunch, i had realized that today was a relatively easy day. The classes were easier to find than i had first anticipated. I also had found out over the course of the day who was in my classes. So far, the girl i met, Kerri, was in two of them. Martha was in one, but she barely even acknowledged me when i tried to say hello. And River, my first and one of my only friends here so far, was in none of them, though i did see him in the hallway a couple times and he always stopped to say hello. That had only been four periods though, and i still had lunch and three more to go. 

When i walked into the cafeteria, i just stood there to take in the quantity of the students. There were so many, yet they all managed to fit into this quaint room. My thought were soon interrupted by somebody tapping me on the shoulder. I turn around to see the one and only River Phoenix. "Hey, i thought you would need a guide so you know where we all sit." he says with a cute smirk on his face. "Yeah, i was actually just looking for you." i lied. He brought me to a table where four boys and two girls sat. River then proceeded to introduce me to them. "Willow, this is Keanu Reeves, Wil Wheaton, Corey Haim, and Corey Feldmen. These wonderful young ladies are Miss Winona Ryder and The Wonderful Martha Plimpton who you have already met. Everyone, this is Willow Oak Cyprus." "Sweet, she's got a fucked up name like you Riv.". I was a bit offended by Corey Feldmen's comment, but seeing as though River played it off as a joke, i tried to do the same. I wasn't really hungry, because i had a big breakfast, so i just didn't eat anything. I sat at the table alone while i waited for them all to get their food. While looking around, i saw a glimpse of someone familiar to me. "Hey Kerri!" I shouted, even though it meant getting a few strange stares from the people seated in the tables around us. "Hey!" "Do you have a place to sit?" i asked, even though i was secretly hoping she would say no, i wanted there to at least be one person i knew at the table i would probably be sitting with for the whole year. "No actually, do you?" "Yeah! I'm sure they won't mind, wanna sit with us?" "Totally!" she cheered with excitement.

River got back to the table before everyone else, so i told him about Kerri. "I hope you guys don't mind, she just didn't have anywhere else to sit, you know?" "No, it's totally fine, yeah.". When the others got back River told them about Kerri and they didn't seem mad at the idea. Especially Keanu, who i noticed couldn't seem to keep his eyes off of her. For the rest of lunch we all talked about the new teachers we all had and hated already. We talked about our seats and who we were all seated next to. The two Corey's couldn't stop coming up with jokes that would make us all cry due to laughter. I don't think i've laughed this much since i've gotten here, and it felt really good. The bell finally rang though, breaking up the most exciting part of my day so far. And now i was off to my fifth period class, music.
