When i get back to my house, i realize that it's about 3:30 and i still had some time to kill before Keanu was going to be here to pick both me and Riv up. I decided to just kill time cleaning up my room, playing guitar, and watching MTV.
When i look up at the nearest clock, i notice that it's 6:33 and Keanu was going to be here in about an hour. I start to gather up the stuff that i'm going to be taking with me tonight. I grab a blanket, a pillow (like River was consistently reminding me about), my toothbrush and toothpaste, and an outfit for tomorrow. I decided to change out of the one that i currently had on, to something a little more comfortable that i could just sleep in that.
When i'm done, i realize that it's about 7:15 and my dad should be home any minute now.
Just as predicted, about 5 minutes later i hear keys jingle, and hear the front door open. I quickly ran downstairs so i could greet my father before i departed.
"hey dad!" I said with excitement in my voice.
"hey, you seem really happy." he said with suspicion.
"yeah, i just can't wait for tonight. it's going to be a blast."
"i bet. when am i going to meet these new friends of yours?"
"soon. you can meet two of them tonight. they're coming to pick me up."
"okay." he said seeming really happy to finally meet the people that i can't seem to stop talking about.
About twenty minutes later, Keanu pulled up, honking for both me and River to hear.I ran out with my dad following me. River ran out of his house and slipped into the back seat. I put my stuff into the front seat and started to introduce my dad to River and Keanu.
"hey guys! this is my dad, dad this is River and Keanu."
"nice to meet you, sir." River said reaching out a hand from the back seat so my dad could shake it. He happily complied and took it.
"how's it hanging, sir?" Keanu said also reaching out a hand for my dad to shake. This time he complied with a bit of hesitation.
"hello gentlemen." he said before turning to me. "be careful, i love you, sweetheart." he said right before hugging me.
"i love you too, see ya"
i then jumped into the front seat, totally excited for the night to come.
"you ready to go sweetheart." Keanu said turning to me, raising his eyebrows with an amused look on his face.
"just shut it and drive bud." I said giggling out of control.
"whatever you say princess." he said before driving away.
