Today was my first day of school and i was going through all the anxiety stuff now. I'm so used to it that i don't really acknowledge it, but a little of it always seems to peek through.  As we pulled up to the school, i realized that it wasn't going to really be that hard to fit in here. As i look around, i realized that i haven't seen two people with the same style. 'I might actually like it here.'. I wave at my dad and turn around to go try to find my locker as fast as possible so i wouldn't be late for my first class.

I gather up all of the things i need for my upcoming classes and carry them in my arms, that is until i knocked into something and everything i was holding fell onto the ground. "Dammit" i say under my breathe. "You know, we've got to stop meeting like this.". I instantly recognize the voice as none other than River. "Hey River, how's it going?" "Better now that you're around.". I blush slightly at his words, but i cover it up to make sure he doesn't notice. "You never told me you were going here." he says, breaking the silence that was starting to form. "Funny, you've seemed to leave it out of our recent conversations.". "So much to say, just so little time.". I always liked it when he would say something so random that somehow tied into the conversation. "Did you get that from a song or-". "Hey you!" I was caught of by a voice i had never heard before. A look to see who it is and see a blonde girl standing next to River with her hand in his. "Hey, I was wondering when i would see you." he says right before giving the girl a peck on the cheek. 'oh of course' i thought to myself. I look at River with a confused expression on my face, which he must have been able to read well, because he then began to introduce the both of us. "Oh, sorry about that, Willow, this is my girlfriend Martha Plimpton, Martha, this is my new neighbor and hopefully friend, Willow Oak Cyprus.". We both then began to shake each others hand and gave small greetings to each other. "Willow Oak Cyprus, that's a very unusual name, not to sound rude or anything." "No, i actually get it more than you would think. My parents are flower children, like River's, at least i think by what he's told me." i said in reply. Out of the corner of my eye, i could see River staring at me. It made me feel unexpectedly safe in a way. Anyway, we quickly made our goodbyes, but before leaving, River told me to look for him in lunch, just in case we didn't have any classes together prior.

As i walked into my first class, i find it hard to find a seat that wasn't taken or being 'saved'. I eventually did find one right in the back of the class, right next to the window. 'This has got to be the best seat in here, the view is beautiful.' I thought to myself before i was interrupted by this ginger-haired girl. "I'm sorry if i'm bothering you, but is the seat in front of you taken, every other one in this class seems to be." "No actually, it's not." I say in response to her question that paralleled to how i was just feeling just a few moments ago. "Thank you so much, my name is Kerri by the way.". I like how she kind of got that out of the way, because God knows how awkward it is to ask after a while. "No problem at all, i'm Willow." "Nice to meet you Willow" "Nice to meet you Kerri".
