As i walked into the music room, i realized that i was one of the first ones there. I chose a seat in the back left of the room. Soon enough people started filing into the classroom one after another. The bell eventually rang and the teacher started taking attendance. "Christina Lookwood" "Here" "Katey Wall" "Here" "Rebecca Sa-" The teacher was suddenly cut off by someone bursting through the door. When i looked up from the drawings that have been made on my desk through the course of the day, i realized that it was actually River who just burst through the door. "I'm really sorry sir, my locker wouldn't open and i-" "i got it Mr. Phoenix, please just find a seat." As River finally found a seat, I saw him look over a me and smirk. I gave him a small wave back and focused my eyes back on the teacher who was just about to begin the lesson.
After class i went straight to the door and right when i was about to start walking down the hallway, i felt someone grab my arm and turn me around. It was River, and i swear i got an electric feel from the touch. I could tell that he might have too by the way he looked kind of flustered when i turned around. "Hey, i was wondering how you are getting home?" i was a little taken back by the question because it was just kinda random. "Um, i don't think it's that far, so i was just planning on walking." "Okay, what's your last period?" "Science, i think, why?" "No way, me too. Anyway, i was thinking maybe i could walk with you. I-I mean i-if it's alright with you of-of course." I thought it was really cute that he was getting kind of flustered and choked up when he was asking me about walking home. "Yeah, but only under one condition." "And what would that be?" he asked. "You have to be my partner in science." "Really? Sure yeah, perfect." He chuckled, and i couldn't help but smile. "Then yes, Mr. Phoenix, you may walk me home.". We walked together to our next classes and we both didn't really say much, but you didn't really have to. We both kinda just liked being in each others company. When i walked into my sixth period class, i noticed that i was one of the last people in there so i had to try and hurry before anymore seats would be taken.
Sixth period wasn't the longest class of the day, but it also definitely wasn't the shortest. The whole time though i couldn't even sit still, because i was so excited that after school, i would be walking with River. Even though he had a girlfriend, i was okay with just being friends. He was a great presence to be around and i couldn't wait to get to know more about him.
