Empty Hearted

Chapter eight- letters

After coming home in Aberdeen i felt alone without my friends, all my old friends here despise me, they got jealous that i went to a good school in another city, but i just wanted the best for me, i am hardworking, that's the reason i choose that school, and we were never that close anyways.

I was sipping tea and looking outside the window, i realized how much i missed my home town, the place where i grew up.

My mother came knocking to my bedroom door, i came and opened it.

"hey mom"

"i brought you some chocolate"

"oh thank you, it's just what i need"

I almost started crying out of nowhere.

But my mom knew these things and she would comfort me all the time.

One day while i was writing in my diary in my room, someone knocked on my door.

"come in" 

"honey, there is a letter for you"

"a letter? are you sure its for me?"

"yes, it says your name here"

"alright, tnx for bringing it to me"

"no problem" said mom while leaving

I sat down on my bed opening the letter, i started reading and i realized it was from Stefan.

"Dear Melody, i heard about what happened, and that you left, sorry that i couldn't be there when you left, i'm really a bad person, and what happened between us, me cheating it never left my mind, and i want to make everything right again, if you let me... i also know that you are pregnant, and i hope everything is well, i really care about you"

I layed down on my bed with the letter in my hand, i had to admit, i still had feelings for Stefan, i cant deny that.

But Stefan could have reached me earlier.

"ugh, enough stress, i need more tea"

As i went downstairs to get some tea as i said, i boiled the water and i was ready to pour it, while i was pouring the water in the cup i felt sharp pain coming from my abdomen, i put the pot down and yelled for my mom.

"Mom!"

I was holding myself on the counter.

She ran to me and saw me in pain.

"what happened!"

"my stomach hurts!"

Just as i was about to fall my mom catches me in her arm.

"oh god MELODY!"

My mom called my dad to help her, soon they called the ambulance and they took me away driving to the nearest hospital.

I slightly opened my eyes to see that i was in the ambulance vehicle, i looked down and see blood, the E.R person looked worried and immediately came to me telling me everything will be fine and that we're close to the hospital.

I went unconscious again...

When i woke up i heard my mothers voice, i opened my eyes and saw my parents at my bedside in the hospital.

"mom, dad?  w-where am i?"

"it's okay honey i'm here"

"you are in the hospital" says dad bluntly

"yes in deed, but you will be okay"

Suddenly it strikes me, i saw blood, i was in pain, my baby! was it alive?
