OMNISCIENT.

"Alright L.A. we're Prettymuch!" Edwin yelled into the mic causing the over capacitated arena to erupt in loud screams and joyous cries. Among the many fans Mykah was placed in the front screaming along with them.

She had been invited, obviously by Zion, and she was glad she had been. From when she first arrived until now she was buzzing with excitement. Although she religiously called Zion a flop she was actually quite proud of the person he had become.

Zion himself recognized he wouldn't be as far as he was if it wasn't for Mykah, but he wouldn't let her know. She pushed him to make routines that weren't generic and showed off his talents unlike the things he posted now, she encouraged him to go to a vocal coach and the occasional voice lesson to help his voice mature, and she did her best to make sure he was always his best at all times, from his health to his basic needs. She was always there for him, no matter how bad things got.

Although he says he started singing to impress girls he really did it to please Mykah. He loved seeing her proud of him, it drove him to work harder and to be better, because he wanted to make her happy; and she definitely was.

As the band talked to the fans she randomly yelled out from her spot in the crowd, "whew that's my best fucking friend!" interrupting Zion mid-sentence. "Yeah, my best friend is here too, everybody say 'Hey Mykah'" He encouraged and in unison the crowd all repeated making her finger wave back, pretending she was a celebrity.

"Hey." She said back making the people who heard her laugh. "Now that we've passed the formalities-" Edwin was cut off by Zion yelling go and the next song had begun.

"Bro you were so fucking dope, what the fuck!" Mykah yelled as she came backstage and jumped into Zion's arms before dapping him up, acting like the nigga she is, at heart.

"Thanks, Ky, you were the hypest one out there, my best friend is most definitely my biggest fan."

"Nigga, I know." She said laughing feeling the highest feeling she could. Mykah was on cloud nine, feeling nothing but love and excitedness for her best friends accomplishments. Although she was feeling good, she had to check on him for real, even if it meant she would bring down the mood. "Can I be honest?"

"You always are." He replied before he drank a few sips of water. "How are you, really? With Haley and shit." She asked being genuinely interested.

"I'm fine, there was no real connection anyways." He replied simply. "What do you mean?" She asked him, even though she knew exactly what he meant.

It wasn't rocket science how their relationship would be short. She was whiny, rude, and all around not too enjoyable to be around, while Zion was more carefree, joyous, and rambunctious. The two simply didn't mix and Mykah could tell they confusingly trusted lust over love to get them through.

"It was just sex really. Really, really good sex." Zion confessed, and not ashamed to say so. "Me and her got drunk one night and the next morning her head was on my chest and we were naked. She was beautiful and so peaceful, from then on I had to make her mine. Once I got her though, she was still that beautiful person, just not the same way." He broke, thinking back on the last few years of his life.

"She wasn't the beautiful person I devoted myself to, but she became everyone else's beautiful and it took her being disrespectful to you, for me to realize it." He said shifting his eyes from the little bracelet Mykah was playing with to her own brown ones.

"I'm sorry, Z." She said grabbing his hand, trying to console him while she still trying to give him the space she felt he deserved right now. "Don't be, you made my job so much easier." He laughed a bit containing all the cons to his lifestyle.

Mykah's confused look amused him but he continued on, regardless. "She made my life so difficult, I felt used a lot but I thought that was what love was. Looking back I was miserable, she was always my happy place but when she changed so did I. Being famous killed me quicker than she did but she was a close second."

"Living like this is hard sometimes, its like being entitled to a life thats not mine, I'm completely defenseless to myself at this point. My body is not my own, its theirs." Zion spoke, referring to the outside world.

"Those people; my fans, my management, my friends, my family- all I have is them yet I feel like I don't have them at all because the once in a while favors are starting to become the daily routine."

By this time Mykah was sat beside him, one leg over his lap and one curled under her other thigh, with Zion's head on her chest and her arms cradling around his head while one hand was busy playing with his hair, as she knew it calmed him down. She noticed as he spoke his eyes grew cold and he became dead and detached.

This wasn't who she remembered and she wasnt going to let him stay that way. Zion began to chuckle before the soft tears that welled in his eyes began to roll down from his cheeks to her chest. "I'm not myself, I'm everyone else's. I get wasted to feel in control even when I know I'm not. I don't dream anymore, they're a trap. Look where dreaming got me; sleeping inside a hearst."

It broke her heart seeing the toll taken on him and she felt responcible. She pushed him into something she didn't know could effect him so poorly but this is what he wanted; she was just one of the guiding hands to get there. The most important one at that.

As she caressed his cheek the subtle tears stopped and he grew quiet causing her to look down at him. He was in deep thought before, with abruptness, he rose from his seat, wiped his eyes and put his hand out for her.

"Let's get wasted one more time before you try to fix my life, because we both know you will." He said with a small smile causing one to break out on her face, and making his grow wider. "Of course." She laughed.

On their way out Mykah turned on her ringer and as soon as she did her phone began to ring back to back. "Give me a second." She said as she read the name and her heart fell to the pit of her stomach.

He nodded and began to walk to the door before she grabbed his hand quickly, hiding her nerves from him. "I love you." She said softly and for a moment he looked at her, knowing something was wrong without letting it click. He didn't understand that she needed help but he did feel something was up. Nevertheless he still mumbled those eight letters back before pecking her cheek and left the small room, giving her the privacy she asked for.

Mykah sighed and answered the phone, fearing for the worst, which she knew was coming. It always did.
