I finally got Mila to calm down and now she was sleeping on my shoulder on the couch while I watched some anime show that Jah called himself putting me on to.
My attention was directed to the door when someone rung my door bell making me sigh. I picked Milana up so the same thing wouldn't happen and carried her to the front door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"Mary!" The woman yelled back.
Mila's mom.
I sighed seeing that there was nothing I could do because I went and sat Milana in my room then she would wake up and freak out but then if I open the door holding her like I am her mother would freak out but I figured out something.
"I need a moment" I told her.
I went upstairs and sat Mila in the bed before shaking her awake.
"Yes" she answered lowly.
"Your mothers here so you have to be quiet" I told her seeing her nod and crawl more into my bed.
I closed the door and went back downstairs, opening the door.
"Sorry I had to put a shirt on" I lied as I let her in.
"But um how can I help you?" I asked her.
"Do you know where my daughter is? I haven't heard from her since last night" she told me.
I shook my head "she doesn't talk to me anymore."
She nodded and turned, not even saying thank you before walking away. I closed my door and locked it before going back upstairs to see Milana sitting up in my bed, watching tv.
"What did she say?" She asked, mid yawn.
"She asked if I knew where you were and when I told her no she just walked away" I answered, shaking my head.
She sighed "that lady can't even break for her own child" she mumbled.
I shrugged "maybe she knew you were here anyways and just didn't care" I told her.
She shook her head "because she would've came in a looked, she just doesn't care which is nothing new to me."
I nodded my head at her and got in the bed "well she'll come around, it's okay" I told her.
"She'll never come around, I might as well live in here, speaking of where are your parents? I haven't heard them since I got here and it's the middle of the day."
"Girl I live here by myself I just told you that because I didn't want you to think I was weird."
