When I woke up I heard laughing coming from downstairs, on of which being a girl making me get up and go downstairs, rubbing my eyes.
I turned the corner to see my sister, Jahseh, and Stokeley.
"Hey girl" Jah smiled at me before coming over to me and pulling me into a tight hug.
I smiled at the action "hey Jah."
He let me go and walked with me to where my sister and Stokeley were. My sister seen me and huffed a long with rolling her eyes but I ignored her and went to Stokeley.
He wrapped his arm around me and I buried my face in his chest, taking in his sent. I wrapped my arms around his waist and stayed how I was until Jahseh cleared his throat.
I looked up to see him and my sister looking at us weirdly.
"So anyways what's this I hear about you not wanting to go to school?" Jahseh spoke, beginning the conversation.
"Um I just don't want to go" I told him.
He nodded at me "Well okay, I'll bring you your work then" he smiled at me and I nodded.
I can't tell him the truth it's hard to talk about it at all.
"So you're just not going to tell him?" My sister asked making me look at her and raise my eyebrow.
"Mind the business that pays you bitch damn, I'll tell him when I'm ready" I told her.
She sighed and sat back "she was raped so she's been staying here with Stokeley because my mom isn't comforting her" she told Jahseh making me glare at her.
How does she even know? I looked at Stokeley and then shook my head making him mouth "I didn't tell her."
I sighed and looked at Jahseh who looked like he was waiting for me to look at him.
"Is it true?" He asked me.
I nodded and he sat back letting out a big huff while Stokeley sat down in the single chair so I had no where for me to sit except his lap so I sat there.
"Do you know what they looked like? Who it was?" He asked me making me shake my head.
"You sure it wasn't him?" My sister asked pointing at Stokeley making us all glare at her.
"What? We all know that he used to have a crush on her and he-" she didn't get to finish because Jahseh cut her off.
"Maia! Just shut up!" He yelled at her making her quickly shut up.
I looked back at Stokeley who smiled at me.
"We'll figure it out Milana."
