Footsteps were heard thumping behind them.

'Move to your left!' Sans told the girl.

She obeyed just in time for a spear to miss her. 'Not good,' she thought.

"Hey other me," the skeleton said to Frisk.

"He's listening," Frisk told him.

"Good. Get the human out of here," he said as they ran on. "Take them into Hotland and hide at my sentry station. I'm going to distract them so you can run."

'What?' Sans demanded.

"We're not going to do that," Frisk insisted. "They could kill you!"

"You don't want to get hit by one of her spears. The ones that Undyne's using now has poison on it. If it gets in your system, you're screwed. Look, just... Forget about me... Escape this place when you have the chance."

Frisk was about to protest again, but he shoved her forward.

"Go!" He yelled, stopping and turning around to fight Papyrus and Undyne.

Reluctantly, Frisk ran on, not looking back.

'Wait,' Sans interrupted. 'You're really leavin' him there?'

'No. Just need some time to strategize with you.'

'Say what?'

'Look, we need to help him! If we can come up with a way to help without killing the others, then we can move on peacefully. But I need your help. You're smart; help me think!'

'Okay, okay kid. Just give me a moment.'

Frisk stopped running and hid behind a nearby rock while she waited for an answer. Loud yells and crashes were heard from afar.

'Okay, I got a plan, but it's not foolproof,' Sans announced. 'If we can get Undyne and Papyrus to fight each other, then we can leave with Other me. But the only way to do that, I think, is to make them fight over you.'

'Me?'

'You're the one thing that they both want, so if we can find a way to get you to distract them and get away free, then we're good.'

'Have you found a way to do that?'

'Still workin' on it.'

'We don't have time! He needs our help now!' Frisk ran out from her hiding place and back towards the fighting monsters.

'Kid, I don't think this is a good idea!'

'I don't care! If winging it is the best option then I'm taking it!' Once she was a good thirty feet from the monsters, she stopped and yelled, "Hey! I'm the one you want!"

'Yeah! Step away from the idiot!' Sans added.

Frisk chose to ignore his comment for now.

Papyrus and Undyne turned their attention towards the human. The two warriors were being blocked by Other Sans, who turned to face Frisk. Papyrus and Undyne exchanged glances before rushing at her, trampling the short skeleton on their way.

'I suddenly regret this.'

'Here, kid. I'll take a spin.'

Sans took control and dodged the monsters with ease. He started humming a tune as he dodged spears and bone attacks.
