Frisk laid down in the bathtub, and sighed. She had made the water nice and hot, as well as put in bubble bath soap. Then she turned on the jacuzzi jets to amplify the relaxation levels.
"I needed this," she said. 'By the way... You weren't, you know... looking when I unchanged, right?'
'Kid, I'm you. Even if I was, it's my body too now. Don't feel embarrassed.'
Frisk rolled her eyes. 'I'll try not to get weirded out.'
She looked at the reflective tile walls next to her and scanned her face over. She wasn't used to how her new face looked in the mirror yet. To be fair, it wasn't that different, just matured a few years is all, and paled by a tone or two. Still, when she saw her reflection, it almost didn't even look like her anymore.
"Frisk..."
The human's eyes widened and she whipped around to find the voice. 'Did you hear that?'
'...Sadly, yes,' Sans admitted.
Frisk listened for the voice again, but could barely hear anything over the jacuzzi jets. As if on cue, the bubbles stopped, nearly scaring Frisk senseless. She turned to face the button that activated the bubbles, and found it the same as it had been before.
'Maybe it's on a time limit...?' She hoped. 'And the time limit is very short?'
Sans was silent, but Frisk could tell that he was on high alert. Frisk scanned over the room again, fear building up in her chest. Maybe they were gone...? That was hoping for too much. Still, she didn't find anything out of the ordinary.
"Frisk."
It was right behind her. Frisk squeaked and jumped and faced the voice. The tile walls only gave her her reflection. Frisk was breathing heavily now. She definitely heard that. It was right there.
'Don't show your fear,' Sans told her. 'They want you to fear them.'
'I-I can't... I am scared,' Frisk replied.
Frisk's reflection showed how scared she was. The terror in her blood red eyes. Wait, her eyes were a maroon-red, not—
The reflection warped into a hideous smiled. "Hello again."
Frisk threw herself back against the rim of the bathtub and unsuccessfully tried to hide a scream. Water from her movements sloshed and spilled out over the edge of the tub and onto the floor.
The child in the reflection came out of the wall and floated above her, smiling down. "Well, well, well. What do we have here? A coward." They floated closer to her.
Frisk almost screamed again, but the child slapped a hand over her mouth, stopping her from calling for help.
They continued to hold their hand over her mouth as they floated behind her. "Shh, shh, calm down," they purred in her ear. "You know why I'm here, don't you?"
A knock at the door interrupted them, earning a low growl from them.
"Sweetheart, you okay in there?" Other Sans called in. "I heard a noise."
The child sneered and spoke to her. "Tell him that you slipped on soap," they instructed her.
They removed their hand from her mouth to allow her to speak, and Frisk was too frightened to do anything but comply. "I-I'm fine. I just slipped on some soap," she called to him.
