A/n: the photo has nothing to do with the chapter. I just wanted to draw this 'cause I was bored. Okay? Cool.

"To move forward we have to go through Alphys' lab," Other Sans explained. "She's kinda what you'd call a 'mad scientist'."

"She's crazy?" Frisk questioned.

"Mm...a bit. When we get in, we have to move as quickly but quietly as possible. I'm not shortcutting us through due to our injuries."

Frisk nodded as they walked up to the entrance.

"I'll go first," he said in a low voice.

He opened the door and stepped inside, scanning the room for the scientist. When he didn't see her, he motioned for Frisk to follow. She nodded and stepped inside cautiously. The skeleton took her hand and started to lead her through, taking light steps.

'Something doesn't feel right...' Sans said, uneasiness in his voice.

'I know, it's creepy in here,' Frisk agreed.

'No, I mean...something doesn't feel...right. Like we're being watched.'

Frisk turned to her left and saw a huge screen with her face on it. She realized that it wasn't a picture or recording of her before, but instead was filming her live. Dread piled up in her chest at the sight. Her heart started pounding and her breath quickened a bit. 'I think we are.' She worriedly tugging on the skeleton's jacket. "Uh, Sans?"

He saw the screen and stopped. "We're leaving."

"Not yet."

The lights clicked on, revealing a yellow dinosaur monster wearing a red shirt, black pants and a white lab coat blocking the way out.

"I didn't expect you to be here so soon. Humans are so interesting," she said. She ran passed the skeleton with unrealistic speeds and stood in front of Frisk, who stepped back a bit. "You know, I never got to experiment on a living human before..."

"You stay away from her!" Other Sans yelled as he readied a punch.

Alphys simply smacked him away with her tail. Then, with one foul swoop, she grabbed Frisk by the arms, pulling them behind her back, and pinned the girl down on an empty desk. Frisk tried to struggle free, but the dinosaur monster was stronger than she looked. The human felt something attached around her wrists before she was pulled up again with Alphys behind her, arm wrapped around her neck in a headlock and her clawed hand holding Frisk's upper arm.

The skeleton recovered from the attack and faced them. He stopped and flinched when he saw the bands around the human's wrists.

"A-are...those...?"

"So you remember," Alphys said with a grin. "Quite painful, aren't they? I'm sure you know from experience."

'No...' Sans thought.

'What? What are they?' Frisk demanded, still in the scientist's grip.

"J-just leave her alone!" Other Sans barked.

Alphys laughed. "Perhaps you forgot what these can do after all. How about I give you a demonstration?"

His eye sockets widened. "No! Don't-!"

Alphys let go of the human and pushed her away. The scientist then took out a small remote with a red button on it and pressed it. Electric shocks danced over the human's body, causing her to scream bloody murder and fall to the ground hugging herself from the pain.

"Sweetheart!" The skeleton called, getting close to her but not touching her.

Alphys' smile widened as the light show before her finally ended it. Frisk stopped screaming and gasped for air, her body going limp. Other Sans quickly held the girl in his arms, making sure she was okay. She was still conscious so that was good, but she was very weak now.
