A child clings
To their mother's arms
Unable to climb out
For their legs were weak
And their fear strongMaybe it was mother's fault
In sheltering for too long
But who can blame her?
The world is harsh, unforgiving
And the child was young, innocentOne day
While the mom couldn't see
The child opened a door
Then, upon catching a glimpse
Of that outside world
Was scarred to no end
And decided to never leave mother againNow we come
To this moment in time
Where the child needs
To walk on their own
But they seemed frozen
In this hesitation
And will know no end
To this dilemmaSo I've noticed that fear is a recurring topic in my poems.
Not sure why, it just kind of happens.
Until next time - ☔
