Nalu: Mating Season

Chapter 8

Lucy's P.o.V

 Natsu picked me up and started running toward the nearest hospital. I guess the others knew what was going on since we ran past them and out the door. We arrived at the hospital and they took me to a room. "Okay, we need you to walk around so the children can begin to push themselves out," A nurse said. Natsu was there with me as he helped me walk in circles. We were only walking for about 5 minutes until my back began to hurt. I sank my nails into Natsu and let out a loud yelp. Then more pain came and I let out a scream. The nurses came in and told me to get on the bed. Natsu was at my side telling me soothing words. But I couldn't really tell what he was saying. I was screaming and praying for the pain to go away. It felt like each second that passed by, the more it increased the pain. I was holding Natsu's hand and was practically crushing it with all my force.

 It was hours before I was crying as the doctors were telling me to push. I was screaming at the top of my lungs. The pain would go away for a few seconds until it would come back again. That was when I heard 2 cries. I got a glimpse of pink and blond hair before my eyes got watery all over again as the pain rushed back. It continued like that until a couple of minutes which seemed like hours passed. I was breathing heavily and I felt so weak. My magic power seemed to be almost drained. This should be normal... I remember reading a book that when wizards give birth, they use their magic to help out but will take up some of it and will regenerate the moment we touch our children. I felt dizzy and tired... my eyes became droopy. I looked at Natsu and gave him one last squeeze before everything went black.

 Natsu's P.o.V

 There was a loud beep. I froze. "Luce," I called out as her hand dropped and her eyes closed. "Lucy!" I yelled. "Lucy speak to me!" I began to cry out. I was shaking her shoulders as the nurses were holding me back. She was so pale. "No! Luce! You can't go!" I screamed out as pain and sadness overcame me. Tears ran down my cheeks as I called out her name. I was fighting the nurses as they were holding me back and the doctors were rushing over to Lucy. My heart was beating fast and my head was spinning. "Save her!" I yelled as they were trying to get me out of the room. "Don't let her die" I shouted as I was now struggling with the number of nurses that were now trying to take me out. Then I heard cries. Babies. A memory rushed through my mind.

"Natsu!" Lucy said as she looked up from reading her book. "Yes, Luce?" I asked as I pecked her nose. She giggled and flicked my head. "I never knew wizards had to use up the magic to give birth! Did you? Well, apparently they need to touch their children the moment they give birth to them. That is so the wizards don't die. When their children are touching them, the wizard's body is regenerating the magic power with their children. They share each other's magic power. Natsu, don't forget to do that when I give birth, okay?" She said with a smile. "Okay," I said with my signature grin. "Pinky promise?" She asked as she held out her pinky. "Pinky promise," I said with a smile as I took her pinky withing mine. 

I blinked. That's right! I pulled away from the nurses and grabbed our babies. I ran back to Lucy and placed our babies on her. "What are you doing?" A doctor said as he tried to get near Lucy. I let out a loud warning growl and gave them a death glare. They shut up and we all waited. The babies stopped crying and were hugging Lucy. Minutes past. Minutes that seemed like a lifetime. My heart was beating fast. And I was praying to the gods that she would wake up. I sat next to her and held her hands. "Luce... Please don't go... you still have a long journey ahead of you. You still need to become an amazing mother. You still need to be my lover. You still need to be a Dragneel. You can't leave without doing any of them. Not on my watch. So please... open your eyes. Give us a sign that you're still alive..." I whispered to her as tears slid down my face. Then a glow came from our children an orang-ish-yellow-ish glow appeared. My heart began to race even faster if that was even possible. Then... the light was gone. And beeping was heard...

 Mwhahaha! Another cliff hanger! So, I won't be able to update this Saturday since I'm ah go to my cousin's quince and I won't have time to update. So, here's an early update!
