"Tiffany darling come down here!" I hear my dad yell causing me to wake up. I rub my eyes. Why is he so loud when coming from downstairs? I turn the switch on my lamp and rub my eyes. I remove my blankets and stood up out of my bed. I opened the door to my room and the sun was showing very clearly. We did not even need to turn on the lights in our house. My dad dressed normally in jeans and a button down shirt, when I'm still in my light blue, two piece, silk pajamas. "Good morning." I greeted. "Good morning. Get ready darling, we're going out today. Without security." He told me. "Ok." I responded and started to go back upstairs.
I stopped in my tracks now that I have processed what he said to me. "Hold on, we're going out without security?" I asked and he nodded with a smile. "Dad. Do you know how dangerous that is going to be?" I concerned. "Oh, I forgot to tell you the best part. I'm going to look normal today as well." He said and then I heard the doorbell ring. "Go get the door." He ordered. I rolled my eyes and moved down each step. "Why? You're closer to the door than I am." I wondered. "Because I said so." He told me. He knows that he can't use that excuse with me anymore.
I open the front door being surprised to see Joe with all of his equipment. "Oh, hi Joe." I greeted. He moved into the house shoving me out of the way. We made it back to my living room very quickly. "What is Josephine doing here, dad?" I asked. "He's turning me into a normal person today." My dad said then sat down in an armchair. I laughed. "Oh goodness you were actually being serious." I commented. "Of course darling, I mean everything that I say." He told me as Joe began to work on him. He was using a foundation shade that made my dad look like he had a really bad tan. I sighed and took a seat next to him.
"So if Joe and I run into people we know, who are we going to say you are?" I asked. "I'm your American cousin Steve, and you two are my piece of shit spoiled cousins." He said as Joe was blending in the darker foundation shade. I smirked as I watched this entire transformation start to come into play. I watch as he begins to apply the contour to his face. I can tell that his goal is to completely change his bone structures. I decided to go upstairs and quickly put on a black shirt and white pants. I tied my hair back in a low messy bun and then quickly went downstairs.
Joe was combing out the wig. My dad is not about to do something this drastic. But I was wrong, he already had on the wig cap. Joe stood behind him and carefully placed the wig on my dad's head. I began to laugh seeing my dad with long hair. He was one to pull it off when he was much younger, not so much anymore. Joe then handed my dad a small mirror to see how ridiculous he looked. "Oh my fucking god!" He yelled and began to laugh. Both Joe and I laughed with him. "Damn Joe you are so talented! You gave me a completely different bone structure, I don't even recognize myself." He complimented causing Joe to blush. I agree, the work that Joe has done on other people has really been unappreciated. Most makeup stores that he has applied to have denied his application three times. Idiots.
My dad stood up and I am still shocked by how different he looks. Although he does look as if he got a really bad tan. He stared at the both of us as we were frozen. I had a loss for words. "Well what are we waiting for, let's go darlings." He directed and began to walk. We followed him outside to the car and got in. He wanted to drive as usual. I was in the back with Joe claiming the passenger seat before I could. I am annoyed by that, but I do like having more space back here. As my dad begins to drive us on our way to our destination, I open up my book, Romeo and Juliet. I have been very fond of Shakespeare these days, Rami introduced me to some of his minor works. My dad happened to stare into the rear view mirror to see me turning the page from 152-153.
"Tiffany baby, no reading while driving." He informed in a way to antagonize me. I rolled my eyes and went back to my book. "She's not even driving." Joe defended calmly. "Ok then, no reading while riding." My dad corrected. He checked and saw me still engaged in what I was reading. My book was no longer in my hands. But in my dads. He studied the cover in disgust. "Ew Romeo and Juliet. Fuck that shit!" He stated then my book is going to no longer exist. He threw it far away from the car. "Dad!" I exclaimed. "I don't care! Worst fucking love story ever!" My dad argued. I groaned and crossed my arms. "Then what is the best love story ever?" Joe wondered. "Mine and my dads." I said softly under my breath, hoping no one would hear me. Only because I was the telling the truth.
"I don't know. No love story is perfect, that's why all of them can be considered great, because they're all different in their own ways. Except for Romeo and Juliet." My dad answered. I never looked at it that way. I am hoping that he is right. We pulled up to a local Chick Fil A. I giggled because I know that he has always wanted to do this. You're not able to complete normal parts of life when you aren't normal. At least not without people watching your every move. He stopped at the area where the speaker was. "Hello darling. May I have three number ones. What do you guys want?" My dad asked sarcastically using his normal voice with the thick accent I've heard my entire life. I chuckled. "I'm kidding, what do you guys want to drink?" He asked. "Pepsi." I replied looking down at my hands. "I'll have a milkshake." Joe said. My dad rolled his eyes. "You sure you just don't want a coke?" My dad asked.
Joe looked confused. "What you want them to out it all together, get the ice cream, they probably dont even know how to use that blender, no you can have a coke." My dad ranted. I kept my laughter in. "I need two Pepsi's and a large coke!" He yelled and drove to the first window. "If they actually had any idea who ordered this." My dad stated being overwhelmed.
A/N: Hey guys. This was a small update and I apologize. But I am on spring break so I might have time to update but I really do want to have some time to unplug so updates might be slow. But I hope that you all have an amazing life and I love you all.
