Spring

Spring had sprung, the flowers had bloomed and the world was in perfect balance. E and I had taken off a couple days to move our stuff into our new place. Our lease's had ended and we shopped around for a studio apartment we both liked. Luckily for us we didn't have much to move from our apartments, so it would be a one day move. The other couple of days we decided to spend unpacking and arranging the apartment.

The view of our apartment was breathtaking. We had the windows wide open, the lilac tree's were in full bloom, we were singing loudly and off key. It only took a couple hours to unpack and  settle in. We sprawled out on the couch and talked about what we were going to do to the place. Paintings, canvas's, statues. We planned out our own getaway at home.

Home. That was new to think about. We had a home together. A fresh wave of relief washed over me. Our path had started and we were taking our time on our own path. I looked at her and started to lose myself in her eyes. That was my favorite thing about her. It never mattered what lighting we were in, or any situation, If I looked in her eyes my knee's went weak and reality faded out.

We enjoyed the next couple of days being lazy and taking in the beautiful weather before heading back to work. We danced in our underwear, slid around the place in our socks, wrestled around and wore ourselves out to nap. Tomorrow we would wake up again together and start work and come home.

Spring had sprung, the birds sang, and the flowers bloomed. We could breathe out of both nostrils and smell the scent of the lilacs outside. This feeling, this moment, would never fade from my memory. I held it dear to my as I held her to my heart. I knew I was going to marry her one day. For now, I just wanted to live in the moment we had created together.
