Moving in with the Griers

Chapter 1

I walked off the plane and into the airport. I adjusted my backpack and took a look around. Then kept walking. The airport was filled with smells of Coffee and other strange smells. I headed towards the exit. Elizabeth was going to pick me up with Skylynn.

*Flashback*

I held the letter in amazement. I had got accepted to the North Carolina Cheer team. They were so good. I screamed and told my family. They were happy.

"Thank heavens she can get out of here!" My brother joked. My two sisters laughed.

"I'm going to go call Elizabeth! She was my childhood best friend and lives in North Carolina with her family. Maybe you can stay with her." My mom exited the room.

*End of flashback*

I looked at the time. It was currently 5:45. Eventually, I reached the gates and pulled out my phone to call Elizabeth. After two rings she answered.

E: Hey! Made it in?
L: Yup! Where are you guys right now?
E: We are right outside at the first drop off station. Do you need help?
L: No, I got it. Thank you for the offer.
E: Okay, we're in a black SUV. We'll stand outside. See you in a second.
L:Okay, Bye.

I slid my phone in my back pocket. I walked for a bit until I reached the area they were in. My mom showed me photos of Elizabeth so I knew what she looked like. I saw Elizabeth standing next to a littler girl. Elizabeth was a fairly tan woman with dark brown hair. Her hair was in a side braid. She smiled as she saw me.

The girl looked like she was about 9 or 10. She had blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was smiling, obviously extremely happy. I smiled as I approached them.

"Hi!" The little girl waved.

"Hey!" I smiled to both of them.

Elizabeth gave me a hug.

"We're so excited to meet you. Ecspecially Skylynn. She keeps telling us your her best friend." Elizabeth giggled. Skylynn squealed and hugged me.

"I will definitely be your best friend. But I'm going to call you sky." I smiled.

"Deal." Sky said.

"Alright, lets get you home and get some food." Elizabeth opened the car trunk and slid in my suitcase and I put in my backpack. "So, what's your schedule going to be like for your cheer team?"

I got in passengers seat and sky got in back and we started on the road.

"Are you going to need a ride?"

"Oh no, I'm going to be getting a ride with another girl. She's from my town actually. We're friends."

"Okay, if you guys need a ride just tell me." She offered. I nodded. "How many days a week do you have cheer?"

"Um, Lets see." I paused. "I have it, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday for 4 hours."

"Morning?" She asked.

"At 1-4 in the afternoon." I replied.

She nodded.

"What do you like to do other than Cheer?" Sky chirped up.

I shrugged. "I love hanging out with animals, swimming, and shopping."

"Do you ride horses?" She asked.

"I used too. Why?" I asked. "Do you ride them?"

"Yes! What style?" She giggled.

"I rode both."

"I ride English." She said.

"You'll have to show me your skills sometime." I suggested. "Yeah?"

"Please come!!!" She grinned. I nodded.

"So, I'm not home a lot, Neither is my husband, Chad. We're home in the evening. Skylynn either hangs out with a friend or just chills. So does Hayes." Elizabeth informed me. I nodded.

"How many kids are in your family?"

"So Skylynn is the youngest, she's 10. Hayes is 20. Nash is 23 and married. And then Wills the oldest. He's 27 and married." She said. "Just Skylynn and Hayes live with us anymore."

"Cool."

"My mom and I decorated your room." Sky said. I smiled.

"Thank you guys." I smiled.

"Of course!" Elizabeth smiled. "We're so excited to have you here! You're 19 right?"

"Yes."

"Perfect. So I drive this car, Hayes drives a black jeep and then we have a white range rover your always welcome to use." Elizabeth said.

"Thank you guys so much. You have no idea how grateful I am."

"Honey its no problem." She smiled.

"You should date my brother. Hayes." Sky said. I chuckled a little surprised.

"Skylynn... I told you not to tell her." Elizabeth said. "But, you guys would be cute. No pressure."

I laughed a little.

"You're not dating anyone right?" Sky asked.

"Nope, I've only had 2 boyfriends." I said.

"Hayes has had 1. He's not really into dating. His first girl kinda ruined that for him." Elizabeth frowned. "Its sad. He got cheated on. He's a very loyal guy but she decided he wasn't enough."

"Oh." I looked out the window. "I have gotten cheated on before too. I understand."

"I think when the right girl comes around, he won't hesitate and he'll be happy." Elizabeth said.

"Sometimes I feel like the dogs are his girlfriends." Sky commented making us all laugh.

(We're going to pretend that Hayes dogs are with him zan and kado)

We pulled into the driveway and Elizabeth and I walked to the trunk and Sky ran inside. I slung my backpack on my shoulders and took my suitcase. Elizabeth shut the door and we walked inside.

"Hayes! Come meet Lydia!" Skylynn yelled. I heard footsteps. A really cute came walking down the stairs. How could someone cheat on him? He's so cute!!!!

"Hi." He said in a deep voice.

"Hi, I'm Lydia." I smiled.

"Hayes." He introduced himself and smiled.

"Okay, Lydia. Let me show you to your room." Elizabeth said. We walked up the stsirs and into the 4th door. "Hayes room is right over there."

She pointed across the hall and at the next door.

"Sky's is across from you." She said. We walked in the room. It was so pretty.

"Its so pretty." I smiled and set my backpack on the bed.

"Thank you." She said. "If you ever need anything please don't be afriad to ask. You'll be sharing a bathroom with Hayes and occasionally sky. Its right there." She pointed to the door in between Hayes room and mine.

"Thank you." I hugged her.

"Anytime. Now lets go get some food!" she chucked.
