Lydia was on an extremely competitive Cheer team. When she got a letter to be on an cheer team in North Carolina she immediately accepted it. Her mom tells her she'll be able to stay with the Griers. Elizabeth is her moms best friend.
Elizabeth and I walked downstairs. Skylynn was sitting on Hayes lap as she watched a video. I smiled.
"Okay kiddos." Elizabeth said. "I'll go get some take out food, and you can stay and get to know Lydia. Go swimming, play games, whatever you want!" She walked out of the house. Sky walked towards the stairs.
"Hayes, get your swimsuit on, we're going swimming. You too." She told me. I chucked and watched Skylynn walk up the stairs. Hayes stood up.
"She's sassy if you couldn't tell." He smirked. I laughed.
"Couldn't notice it." I joked.
"You don't have to swim if you don't want to."
"Its fine. I love swimming." I smiled.
"So, you're from...?" He asked as we walked up the stairs.
"California."
"Long flight?"
"Not much. Just 4 hours." I said. He smiled.
"I guess I'll see you at the pool." He smiled and went into his room. I quickly changed into my swimsuit.

Someone knocked on my door and I answered it. Skylynn stood there holding 3 towels.
"Lets go!" She told me. I laughed and we ran to the pool through my back door that lead to the backyard. Two dogs immediately came running to me. "Don't be scared!" Sky told me.
"I'm not! I love dogs!" I squealed and squatted down to pet them. They were adorable. They were licking me all over and I giggled.
"Kado! Zan!" A deep voice yelled. "Off the poor thing." I turned and saw Hayes walk out shirtless. Hayes picked up a ball and threw it. They ran to it. "Sorry." He frowned.
I smiled. "Are you kidding? I love dogs!" I laughed. "I've grown up around them. That was probably the hardest thing about leaving Cali."I admitted. He laughed.
"You really like dogs?" Hayes seem a little surprised.
I nodded. "I'm a dog mamma." He grinned. "Which one is Zan and which is Kado?"
He told me which is which.
"Awww. They're adorable." I smiled as I watched the dogs.
"You're welcome to take them on walks or play with them whenever." He said.
"Thanks." I smiled at him.
"Get your butts in here!" Sky yelled. We looked at her.
"Hey! You don't talk that way to us lil missy!" Hayes eyed her jokingly. He ran towards the pool and did a cannonball 5 feet away from Sky and she shrieked. Then she started splashing him with water on top of her floaty.
The dogs came running back with the ball. Zan dropped the ball at my feet. I smiled and picked up the ball then ran to a grassy area. I tossed the ball as far as I could go. This game went on for probably 7 minutes until Sky told me to come in the water.
I walked towards the pool after throwing the ball one last time. I was sorta uncomfortable being in a pool with people I didn't really know and a really cute guy. Hayes was hot. He had abs and amazing muscles.
I walked down the steps and Sky sat straighter on her float as Hayes and I lightly held onto the edge of her float.
"We're going to have a competition. I'm going to do tricks and you guys have to do what I do."
"So basically you just want to show off and then watch us fail doing them." Hayes laughed. Sky glared at him.
"Lydia can do all of them because she's talented." Sky said.
"I'm sure Hayes is talented too." I spoke up with a little shrug and smile.
"Eh." Hayes smirked. I laughed.
"Front flip."
The next 20 minutes consisted of us doing dumb things in the pool. Sky, Hayes and I had become pretty good friends.
Elizabeth came walking out from the patio and held Chick-Fil-A bags.
"Kids!" Elizabeth yelled. "Dinner!"
We swam over to the edge and got out.
My phone started to ring by the towels. I walked over and looked at the ID. It was my cheer coach, Kelly.
Lydia: Hey! What's up?
Kelly:Hi, did you get all settled in?
L: Yes.
K:Perfect, okay, so the girls tomorrow want to have a welcome party instead of practice.
L: Okay!
K: So what time are you good for?
L: Anytime really. I don't have anything going on.
I looked up and saw Hayes staring at me. He blushed and looked away.
K: Okay, they want it to be a sleepover. So how does 7 o'clock work?
L: That works. Could you send me the address?
K: Of course! Do you need a ride?
L: I think i'll be good. If not, I can get a ride from Amelia.
K: Perfect! I'll see you tomorrow.
L: Awesome, I'm excited!
K: Bye!
L: Bye!
I set my phone down and walked back over to the outdoor table.
"Do you need a ride somewhere?" Hayes asked as I sat next to him on the couch, swing thing (What it looks like in the backyard section on the chapter, What the house looks).
"Yeah, or I can drive with a friend." I said as he took a drink of water.
"I'll give you a ride. I got nothing to do." Hayes smiled.
"Oh, thank you." I smiled back at him.
"Anytime." He nodded.
I watched Sky chased down Zan and Kado while eating fries. I huffed a laughed.
"We should go do something together sometime." Hayes suggested. "I can introduce you to all my friends."
"That'd be nice." I agreed.
"Actually, there's a party Friday night at this guys house tomorrow. All the people our age will be there. You should go with me."
