Lydia was on an extremely competitive Cheer team. When she got a letter to be on an cheer team in North Carolina she immediately accepted it. Her mom tells her she'll be able to stay with the Griers. Elizabeth is her moms best friend.
I set my blankets next to Hayes. Sophie stood up and so did Amelia. Except they were on the same side so the pool started to tip. Emma and I grabbed onto the side of the pool concrete and tried to pull ourselves up. Sophie and Amelia fell in and Hayes pulled me into his chest laughing. We fell backwards on the ground. I was laughing uncontrollably. I rolled off Hayes and watched Sophie and Amelia swam around screaming because of the cold. Emma was half in water, Half on ground. I stood up and helped Emma on the ground. Hayes stood up and gather my things, slinging my backpack on his shoudler.
Sophie and Amelia got out and ran inside.
"Bye Lydia." Emma waved. I waved back and all the girls yelled goodbyes.
We walked through the gate. I felt loopy but hyper.
"Hayes I'm so loopy." I giggled and fell against the wall and then into him. He laughed and raised his eyebrows.
"I know you are. But did you drink anything?" He asked me. I lazily opened the gate.
"Yes."
"What?!?" Hayes asked.
"Water." I rolled my eyes. "Geez dad."
"Okay drunkie." Hayes chuckled. "Lets go get you some breakfast."
He opened the back and put in my backpack, pillow and blanket. I got in passengers seat and he got in drivers.
"Where do you want to go?" He asked.
"I don't know. I'm new here." I said and slumped against the side. He chuckled.
"What kinda breakfast are you feeling?" Hayes asked.
"Food."
"Yeah, babygirl. I got that." He smirked. I blushed like crazy and butterflies immidentaly pounded. "What kind of food?" He knew the impact he had on me. I hated it. But loved it at the same time.
"Anything." I whispered still blushing.
"I know a good cafe down the road." He suggested.
"Cool." My voice cracked. I was so embarrassed. Just with a few words he could control me. I looked at him from the corner of my eyes and saw him with a smirk. His eyes showed love? lust?
He turned on the radio and it blasted music. He lightly hummed. One hand gripped the steering wheel showing off his muscles while the other rested on the arm rest thingy in the middle.
My breathing got heavier. Gosh he was hot. I wanted to marry this guy.
Hayes POV:
I knew she liked me. I just need her to know I like her. One day.
I pulled in the restaurant.
****Time Skip to one week later****
I need to tell Lydia I like her. I have too. She was at Cheer. She'd be back in an hour.
I ran to my moms room. Skylynn was there too.
"Hey bubba. What's up?"
"I love Lydia. I need your help asking her out." I said.
***Time Skip***
My mom told me to keep it simple. So that's what I'm doing. I walked to Lydias room and knocked. She opened it.
"Oh! Hey Hayes!" She smiled and pulled the door wider. I stepped inside and closed it. "You okay?"
"Lydia. I love you. Since the day you came I knew i wanted to marry you. I love you with every ounce of my body." I confessed. She seemed surprised. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Are you joking?" She asked. I shook my head. "Hayes you have no idea how much I've wanted to hear you say that and now that it's happening I don't know what to say." She smiled and I smiled back as she attacked me in a hug.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." She said.
We just hugged until Sky ran in screaming.
"I told everyone it was going to happen!!!!" She screamed. Lydia and I laughed still hugging. "Lydia?"
"Yes?" Lydia said.
"Tomorrow can you and Hayes come riding with me?" She asked.
"Probably. I have early cheer at 7 to 12:30."
"Dang." I said.
Lydia POV:
I laughed as Hayes and I let go of eachother.
"Okay, can we pick you up from cheer?" Sky asked.
"I guess." I smiled.
"yes!!!" sky screamed and ran out. I looked at Hayes and giggled. He smiled at me.
****Time Skip***** I was in black leggings and a sport bra. We were doing a new routine.

We were in a huddle talking it out.
"Okay. Let's try this again." Kelly nodded. We went back to our spots and I saw Skylynn on Hayes shoulders by the door. They'd barely walked in.
Kelly walked towards me.
"Is this your boyfriend?" She grinned. I laughed a little.
"Yeah. Sorry, we're going horse back riding after this." I said. She nodded then walked back to the assistant coach.
"Lydias Boyfriend and boyfriend sister!" Kelly yelled. Iooked over at them.
"Come watch them with us!" Kelly yelled. Hayes helped Sky off his shoulders and they walked over. I giggled a little and he smirked at me. "Tell us how they are." Kelly nodded.
We started our routine.
Once it finished Sky was giggling and Hayes was politely smiling. Kelly starting talking to them. Hayes nodded as they talked.
"Good work ladies!" Kelly yelled as we all grabbed our stuff. I grabbed my duffel bag and walked over to Hayes and Sky. Sky hugged me.
"Good job Lydia!" Sky giggled and let go.
"Thank you." I smiled at her and hugged Hayes.
"Sorry, we wanted to see you cheer." He said. I laughed a little. We walked to the car and got in.
Sky started her rambling about horses. Hayes tried to ignore it.
"She did this on the whole way up." He said. I lightly smiled as he turned on the radio. Sky started singing. It was la la land by Bryce Vine.
"How was cheer?" Hayes asked.
"Good. Tiring." I replied.
"After this we can nap." He suggested.
"I gotta shower first. I'm gross."
"Honey, I'd cuddle you even if you were covered in poo." He joked. I laughed.
Hayes starting singing to me and I laughed at him. He was so cute. I'm in love.
