It had been a little over a week since they had first set sail for Bowlivkeya on the vast sea.

It felt like it was taking forever to see the sight of land again, for Essa and her animal family, and from William, only because he was dreading returning home.

Essa asked Jayme a whole lot of questions the entire time they had been. There was so much she wanted to know and was more than willing to learn.

Jayme had did his best to teach her some basic communication skills and phrases, along with their meaning so she could fit right in. He added in a few etiquette lessons too, nothing to boring or burdensome, mostly questions to not ask and greetings.

Indigo stretched his wings over his head, jumping down from the barrel he was sunbathing on. "Oh how much farther! We've been traveling for days!" He exclaimed dramatically, falling back on a pile of empty sacks with a groan.

"Stop complaining, Indigo." Toki exclaimed, exasperated. "All you have been doing is complaining the whole journey about seeing land. I'm getting tired of listening to you go on and on." He scolded Indigo, crossing his wings over his chest.

Indigo glared at Toki and then an eye roll to top it off. "I'm not complaining. I am merely expressing my yearning to see land once again since I was not made to be on the water. It is doing a number on my feathers." He complained, caressing his feathers.

Essa turned her body an pulled her legs up from hanging off the side of the ship. "I'm sure it's not very far away. I'll ask William if he knows." She exclaimed, jumping up and planting her feet on the deck.

Misty let out a sad trumpet with her trunk, looking over the side of the ship and down at the water. "I want to go home." She whined, pulling the pathetic card that guilt tripped Essa.

Essa rested her hand on Misty's head, patting it with her hand. "Misty, I miss home too, we will return once I find my family." Her voice tried to be optimistic but her heavy heart seeped through. "Try keeping good thoughts,"

Misty nodded, looking up at her with a smile on her face. "I will try." She said, her tone sounding unsure whether she believed her own words or not. "I promise," She shifted her gaze towards the horizon.

Essa hugged Misty tightly, before pulling away. "I will go find Jayme and ask him how much longer until we get to shore." She turned around and walked over to the pole that led up to the crow's nest and started to climb up.

Jayme looked through his telescope, writing stuff down in his notebook that was secured on the rim of the railing. "Hmm," He let out a groan looking back through it and adjusting the focus on it. "We should have been there by now." He mumbled looking back down at his notebook and taking his pen marking some things out. "Maybe I could be off for a few hours? We should arrive today if my calculations are correct and they're al always correct."

Essa climbed over the railing of the crow's next and waved to him. "Hi, Jayme. What are you doing?" She asked looking down at his notebook and frowned seeing all the blotches and lines marking things out.

"G'day Essa," Jayme sighed, pushing both sides of his telephone down and setting down on the floor beside his feet. "I'm trying to calculate why we haven't touched land yet. We should have been to Bowlivkeya by now, yet I'm not seeing any kingdom." He explained and leaned back on the pole that was going through the middle of the crow's nest.
