Chapter 2

KIARA'S POV

I was watching the tv when Selene and Nathan appeared in front of me.

"hi guys. What's up?" I asked.

"Kia it's 6:30. We need to go. They're waiting for us at school." Nathan answered while picking his bag and Selene's bag. I was about to pick my bag when a loud beep from outside.

"shit it's Lyn. We gotta go. She will be mad as hell if we're late today even a minute late." Selene said.

"what!? But why?" i asked shocked while following them in their garage.

"tomorrow is her birthday and she wanted to be there early and she wants to go shopping." she answered while opening the back door.

"oh." I answered and went to Nathan's car.

I opened it and sat on the back. Nathan got in the driver's seat and Selene on shot gun.

"why are you inside my baby?" he asked

"I don't want to drive." I just answered.

"Kia, we will not go home after school." Selene said.

"I know." I casually said.

"you know? That cannot be? How did you know?" Nathan asked shocked that i know where they are going. But it wasn't a secret right? Tomorrow is Lyn's birthday. Short for Aislyn. She's beautiful, long darkbrown hair, 5'6, green eyes and light tan skin.

"because I will be going with you." I answered immediately.

"you cannot--" Nathan's answer was cut off by Selene's voice.

"Nathan, stop okay!? Now Kia, we will not go with Lyn. We have an appointment about the car race and some of the new tranferees are coming with us." Selene informed me.

"oohhh.. I thought you're going with Lyn. Does Lyn knows that you will not come with her!?" I asked.

"yes she knows. Sorry if we didn't inform you, it's just that it's in a rush so we need to go. I didn't even check if I sent you the message."

"ooohh.. Now I remember the message you sent last night. You were apologizing that you cannot come today."

"yes that's the text. So aren't you going to get your car?"

"no, I can always asked the others to drive me home. And I really am not in the mood to drive my car." I heard Nathan sigh and mutter something like 'as stubborn as an alpha' under his breath that earn him a spank in the head from his sister. He started the car and it is unusually quiet in the car. Selene was in a deep thought and Nathan just drive quietly. After 3 minutes of driving we got there with Aislyn on our tail. Yes, 3 minutes even though our school is 10 minutes away from our house. Nathan is a car racer so he like to speed while driving and it only takes three minutes to get in school.

  I opened the car and get out at the same time as Selene and Nathan. I closed the door and went to the others leaving Nathan and Selene who were talking about something. I didn't know.

"hi guys." I greeted after I reached them

"hi Kia. Not in the mood I see." Maureen said to me. Maureen is a beauty just like all of us. She's 5'6 in height, with a tan skin, emerald eyes, light brown hair that went to her shoulders.

"not much but I think Selene is the one who's not in the mood. She woke up early this morning looking tired and then she's quiet on the way here. Usually we are laughing inside the car but not today." I answered.

"oh I see. I think they have some kind of problem." Aislyn commented

"but what is it? Why cannot they tell us!?" I asked slightly mad because of it.
