chapter 8

DEVIN'S POV

(BEFORE BEING CALLED.)

I was chatting with Ryker and Nathan about the next car race where we're going to participate when Mr. Hudson announced to go inside his office. What the hell? Why would he want us at this time? Is it because Kia? She's not here yet. I became nervous. Is something happened to her? I think Selene saw my expression so she gave me a mouthed 'no'. We went to the office just to see my father sitting in one of the chairs and Kia standing beside Mr. Hudson. What is he doing here? I was enterrupted from my thinking when my little sister said 'daddy' and went to dad to hug him.

"Dad?" I asked.

"Mr. Miles why are you here?" Selene asked surprise. Ha? They know each other?

"you see Gu-" Dad was about to say something but then stop when he saw Selene's expression. She looks like she doesn't want him to speak. "you see Selena I have a dinner party with some of my friends tonight so we cannot have the meeting after your school." Dad said with a smile.

"oh. Okay." Selene just answered then turned to Mr. Hudson. "Mr. Hudson I will be taking the new quadruplet students for the junior year. I'll be doing their punishment infront of their own uncle" Selene said to Mr. Hudson. Mr. Hudson just nodded. We were about to go out when Kia spoke.

"so.. If your meeting with them ended earlier   then you can come with us in the mall right?" she asked no one in particular.

"if the meeting ended earlier." Selene just said before going outside the door. We followed her.

(after going outside the school gates.)

I was about to go inside my car when Selene spoke again.

"hey let's race to your pack house." Selene announced and we look at her like she have two heads while Dad just laugh at our reaction. She rolled her eyes and then started to go to Nathan. I figured that Ryker had told her about us but racing us is impossible for a human unless she's going to ride Ryker who by the way looked at her amused for some reason.

"come on guys! I'm going to run at full speed." Selene said and then readied her self to run. Dad started the engine of his car and went off. I sighed I cannot do anything now I also wanted to run, so I changed at my wolf form hopefully we are not like the others that makes their clothes into shreds when we change. It's all because of my father's friend. She's a witch and  my father had wish her a favor of all of the pack members and all the newborns will change but will not make their clothes shred. That's what he said to me. I was running to the pack house and saw Ryker on my heels but Selene or Nathan wasn't there and they are nowhere to be seen. But I didn't mind knowing that they are humans and cannot out run us.

 I was shocked when I am not the first one to be there. I saw Nathan and Selene there with my dad talking about the pack and somethings. I change back to my human form and stalk to their way with the others on my back.

"how the hell did you out run us?" I asked feeling a little angry that I was defeated.

"it's easy we are fast runners than you are." Nathan answered with a smirk.

"that's not true you're just a human." Benjie said.

"oh.. We are not human little boy." Selene said teasingly and wave her right hand making Benjie to get angry and makes him want to attack her. Ryker give him a warning growl but then Selene gave Ryker a look that says 'don't interfere or else'.

"what now? Afraid of me little boy?" Selene asked teasingly. Mocking her mate's cousin and that makes Benjie to attack her but then Selene just move very fast that she could have a whiplash and then kicked Benjie at the back making him go in an unconcious state. I was about to asked something when Michael, one of the tracker that came here with Aidan, went out of the house and I saw how shocked he was to see Selene and Nathan. He took 5 little steps and then bow.
