"Tony? Tony! Hey, Tony!" Bruce repeated, clicking his fingers in front of the billionaire's face. It worked as Tony finally snapped out of the memory and back into reality.
"Are you okay?" Steve asked again, placing a reassuring hand on Tony's shoulder. Shrugging off Steve's friendly gesture, Stark speaks.
"Yeah, yeah... I urr... I have to go. Tell me when the kid wakes up." He rushes and with that Stark was gone.
"What the hell was that about?" Bucky broke the silenc.
"I don't know?" Both Bruce and Steve replied in unison.
Vision just stood there not really knowing what to say. Then got an idea when he glance back at the girl's sleeping form.
"Captain, shouldn't we remove the chains on the girl? Perhaps Wanda could help?" He suggested.
"That's a good point Vision. F.R.I.D.A.Y. can you tell Wanda to come to the med bay now?" The Captain asked.
"Certainly Captain." The AI responded. Not even 5 minutes had passed when Wanda came through the door confused.
"Vis, Steve what is it you-" She abruptly stopped upon noticing the condition of the girl resting peacefully on the hospital bed yet seems in pain.
"Is that her? The one Stark has become concerned about?" Wanda continued to question.
"Yes and yes. But Wanda this isn't why you're here, we need you to remove the restraints on the girl. Can you do that?" Bucky asked hopefully.
"Yeah, I can do that." The witch commented confidently.
So Wanda confidently walked over to the girl and outstretched her hand above where the chains are. A red mist appeared around her fingertips which then proceeded the spread over the restraints. With a move of her hand Wanda's powers broke the chains. Wanda then moved back to stand beside Vision as Bruce took the now broken chains off the poor girl.
"Thanks Wanda." The guys said appreciating the help.
"You're welcome." She replied happily but then became concerned about the girl. "But what happen to her because I can sense something dark and painful about her and there's a black mist over her left arm?"
After hearing this the four men instantly turned to see that there is indeed a black mist engulfing the girl's left arm.
As Steve and Bucky neared her side, the mist vanished only to reveal what the girl's left arm truly looks like.
It was metal with a red star on the shoulder, the same as Bucky's arm. Except her arm has three claw marks visibly scratched across the star as if to deface the star.
All of them fell silent not knowing what to say but all of them now knowing what truly happened to the girl. All five of them stood there staring in silence for what seemed like an eternity but in reality was only 5 minutes. Bruce was the first one to break the silence due to a beeping sound coming from the computer.
"Well, her... urr... wounds are all cleaned and bandaged up and her blood test has just come back about her parents." He announced. He stopped talking and glance around at the others to see if they were listening. When he looked their attentions now on him. Bruce awkwardly scratched the back of his neck before continuing.
"Urr... Tony's right. That's Brooklyn, his daughter." They just stared at him in disbelief but this time Vision was the one to break the silence.
"I feel we should let Brooklyn rest and leave her until she wakes." The five avengers agreed and left Brooklyn alone in the med bay asleep.
