Since me and dad apologised to each other the tension within the team has changed. As per most mornings now I'm in the gym sparring with one of the team. Today it was Bucky but Sam stepped in because Buck left during the session to talk to Bruce. After Buck left Nat and Clint came in sitting on the bench content on watching us. The pair began shouting advice for me and laughed whenever Sam got annoyed with their comments.

"Duck!" Nat shouts just as Sam goes to punch my face. Taking her advice and reacting I dodge his attack by ducking under his arm.

By doing that Sam groaned becoming distracted by Nat's comment. "Stop helping her!" He whined throwing his head back in annoyance which made us laugh.

Seeing my opportunity I knocked his legs out making him fall to the ground before pinning him down with my foot. Staring at me I smiled innocently while removing my foot and holding my hand out. Groaning he reluctantly took it as I he helped him up.

"Why are you two even giving her advice, she was trained by Hydra?" Sam points out grabbing his water while passing my bottle over.

To be fair I agree with Sam I don't actually need the advice as like Sam said I was trained by Hydra. Standing beside him we both gave the assassins a confused look.

The pair glanced at each other before shrugging like it's obvious. "Felt like it." Clint spoke. I laughted upon hearing this whereas Sam just stood there not impressed.

As the session had finished Sam let me leave to do what ever I wanted. Saying bye to the three avengers I wondered back to my room. Taking a quick shower I change into clean clothes. Walking over to my nightstand I grab my mother's necklace putting it around my neck but still holding onto the crystal.

Staring at it for a moment I sigh deeply remembering what Hydra did to her. "Have faith my child." Someone says.

Snapping out of my thoughts I spin on my heal glancing around the room while releasing the crystal. Seeing that no one else is in my room I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. Looking back at the crystal I thought pops into my mind. But I didn't lose control I mean I haven't even used my powers. That and I sure as hell have never heard mom say that before. Maybe Loki was wrong? It would be a first but there's a first for everything right? I think hopefully to myself.

Looking at the necklace one last time I leave my room heading to the library. Reaching the room I immediately notice that Loki isn't in here. I know this because even though he's the only person on the team that practically lives in here he always picks the same seat. It's funny really, he has the entire library to chose from yet he only ever sits on the table in the middle of the room.

Shaking my head I focus back on why I came here. Strolling over to the bookcase I let my eyes scan over the spines of the books until I land on the book I want. The book I read the first time I came in here. Pulling it off the shelf I sit at a table before opening the book.

Flicking through the pages I go the section about mom. Humming to myself I run my finger over the writing. "Hey they even have something in here about me!" After letting that sink in my face drops a little. "That's... That's actually kinda creepy." I laugh to myself. "Anyways..." I trail off.

Muttering quietly I skim the text until I find what I'm looking for. What my mom was the Goddess of. "Okay so according to this mom was the Goddess of... the Goddess of Life and Eternity." Huh? Neat.

Wondering if the book has anything else on my mom or even me I continue reading. However that's cut short when I turn the page and there's nothing there. I mean that's literally nothing, the pages are blank.

"No, no, no, no, no! You can't do this. I was so close." I groan in frustration. I was so caught up in my defeat that I didn't hear my family walk in and stand in front of me.

"You alright there kiddo?" I hear dad question. At the sound of his voice I jump slightly having not heard him walk in.

"Oh yeah. No, I'm fine." I automatically reply as I look up to him before glancing at Steve and Thor.

"You don't seem okay?" Steve insists as he walks round the table to where I'm sat. "What are you reading?"

"Asgardian history book." I pause for a second. "I suppose you can call it that." I shrug looking up to the super soldier.

Steve didn't question it but nodded regardless where as dad and Thor seemed more nervous about it. "What?" I ask noticing their looks.

They quickly recover and shrug as if the looks didn't happen. "Anyway what were you complaining about when we came in?" Dad asks changing the subject.

"Yes you seemed very frustrated about the book." Thor added. Not feeling the need for the added comment dad shot him a weird look.

"The rest of this book has no pages, they're blank." I explain flicking through the book to prove my point.

"And?" Dad replies as if he didn't see the problem.

"And? You don't just publish a book with half the pages not written on. Were you even listening to what I was saying?" I question in an annoyed manner.

"Look it's an old book Brook, the text must of faded or something."

"Yeah or something." I mutter under my breath as I stand up and tuck my chair under the table. "Anyway why did you guys come in here?" I ask.

"I actually came in here to see how you handled your sparring with Sam this morning. They just followed me." Steve explains as dad and Thor glance at him before giving me sheepish looks.

"Fair enough. The sparring went good, I won. Nat and Clint were annoying Sam by giving me advice." I laugh.

"Doesn't surprise me." Steve agrees shaking his head. Grabbing the book off the table I smile at the three men before walking past them.

"Now where are you going?" Dad asks confused making my stop.

Looking over my shoulder I smile innocently. "To see the twins." And to see either Buck or Loki.
