"That's because it's not. It's English. It's the nickname she picked up from Rhodey when she was learning to talk!" Tony replied on the verge of tears.

Everyone just fell silent again, not because it was awkward bu because they didn't know what to say. So they just left me and Tony, I mean dad, to have our moment. All you could hear were my muffled cries as I sobbed into my dad's chest.

I faintly heard Steve tell everyone to leave us be, which they obviously did because the next thing I knew, when I glanced around, they were all gone.

"Hey, how about we go check out your new room?" Dad says while wiping my tears from my face as I nod.

Suddenly I'm lifted in the air, being carried out of the room. Due to the sudden movement, my grip get tighter around Tony's neck. Dad must of realised this because he quietly mutters an apology making my chuckle.

We finally get to my new room and as dad opens the door he puts me down so I can look around for myself. Just from walking in it seems amazing.

"So, what do you think?"

"Я люблю это! Но действительно ли это все для меня?" (I love it! But is this really all for me?) I answer out of habit in Russian. Glancing back at dad he seemed totally confused as to what I just said.

"Urr... i said that I love it, but is this really all for me?" I say again this time in English so he can understand me.

"Of course this is all for you, Brook . Everything in this room is yours, it belongs to you. No tricks, no lies, no pretending, no nothing, I promise." He smiles.

"Thank you." I reply stumbling into him giving him a hug.

"Anything for my little girl." He mutters hugging back.

An hour later

I'm peacefully lying on my new comfy bed tapping out a rhythm that I've got stuck in my head. Tapping the rhythm out on my arch reactor someone knocks on the door.

"Come in." I yell.

The door slowly opens to reveal Barnes holding a brown file. But as he enters the memories of him being The Winter Solider fill my mind causing my fear to take over. Realising this, Barnes quickly holds his hands up in defence.

"I'm only here to talk, I swear!" Feeling slightly at ease I sit up and pat a spot next to me for him to sit.

"You're... you're not going to hurt me for not speaking in Russian?" I ask curiously.

"No. Wait? What! No, I'm not going to hurt you! Look I'm not that person anymore. I never wanted to hurt you in the first place. Surely you remember all the conversation we use to have?" Barnes answered slightly hurt that I asked that.

"No, I don't remember that? We never had any conversations. All I remember was you being ordered to hit me every time I spoke English." I retorted not actually having a clue to what he's talking about.

"Brooklyn, what's the last thing you remember about Hydra before you were in that ally way watching me and Steve?" The solider asks concerned filling his voice. Gulping I mess with my fingers before answering him.

"Urr... being tortured before being thrown back in my cell." I mumble reliving the moment.

"Brooklyn, I'm sorry. I didn't know." He quickly apologises feeling bad for asking.

"It's fine Bucky, it's not your fault, you didn't know. It was mine, I disobeyed." Bucky saw the sadness in my eyes so decided to change the subject. Sitting up Barnes got my attention.

"Well hey, I also came here because I thought you might want these." He offers. When I look up, Bucky hands me the file he had earlier and my satchel that I kept what belongings I had in.

"Thank you."

"Hey, it's not a problem. Oh and by the way that file contains everything Hydra has on you on record." Once those words left his mouth, I was in a sudden state of shock.

I mean, yeah Hydra still have all the records of me and what I've done but at least I know what they have. Barnes must of seen the look on my face as he got up to leave but stopped again to speak.

"Umm... Brooklyn? When was the last time they wiped your mind?" He asked gingerly not sure of hiw I would react. Hearing this, I instantly snapped out of my shock.

"The night before I saw you in the ally." I say ashamed looking at him. He nodded and was about to leave my room when an alarm went off bringing back memories of Hydra.

"W-What's t-that?" I shakily ask on the verge of a panic attack. Noticing this Barnes rushes over to me, grabbing my shoulders.

"Wow, it's alright. Calm down. It's just the alarm Tony urr... your dad programmed F.R.I.D.A.Y. to do when we have a mission, or a threat emerges." Baners reassures making sure I'm alright. "Come on, let's go." And with that we are on our way to the missions room where the others are no doubt.
