You Are Not Alone

My God Is...

     Hello everyone! This is my third "article." I kind of wish I could make a blog for this. I feel like it would get more people reading it on there, but oh well. Whoever reads it on here is simply meant to read it. It's here for the person who needs it, not so I can get more reads. That's not what is important. 

     Today's title is My God Is...

     Well, my God is what? What is He? That's what we are talking about today. Starting in December, I began writing verses down that I had read in my bible reading that told me the attributes of God. An attribute is a quality, character, or characteristic of someone or something. So when I say, My God is faithful, faithful is one of His many attributes. So today, we're talking about how good He is and exactly what He is.

     In this notebook I had, I had everything separated, nice and organized. The first section talked about verses that began, or were at least similar to God Is. That is the section we'll be talking about this week.

God Is....

     1. the good shepherd(John 10:11)

     2. the maker of the worlds(Hebrews 1:2"

Did you hear that?! He is the maker of the worlds! Everything! He created everything!

     3. the same(Hebrews 1:12)

"And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail."

He never changes! Another verse says, 'Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.'(Hebrews 13:8)

     4. righteous(Daniel 9:14)

     5. my shepherd(Psalm 23:1)

'The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.' Do you know what that means? Another version says, 'there is nothing I lack.' When we are under Jesus, He provides. He provides me with a home, with clothes on my back, and food in my belly. 'The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.' Psalm 23 is a great chapter. It shows that God provides!

     6. a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him(Hebrew 11:6)

     7. not ashamed to be called their God(Hebrews 11:16)

He's not ashamed! He loves you! He WANTS to be your God!

     8. my helper(Hebrews 13:6)

     9. the God of peace(Hebrews 13:20)

Did you hear that? Our God is the God of peace. I will touch further on peace next week. He is the God of peace! He is not the author of confusion!

     10. the God of my salvation(Micah 7:7)

     11. our Father(Romans 1:7)

He's OUR Father! Not just the Father of the perfect! There is none that is perfect. For ALL have sinned(Romans 3:23), yet He still loves us and calls Himself our Father! Isn't that amazing?

     12. faithful(I Corinthians 1:9)
