Hello, everyone! I hope you've had a great week!

Now, I know you are reading this halfway through the month, but I still want to talk to you about the goals I have set for myself for the month of May. Maybe you can do something like this in June! I thought I should talk about this since I talked about habits last week.

I have decided to set myself monthly goals. The goals vary from Bible reading to exercising. All of which, I needed to better myself in. I will also tell you about some of my yearly goals, and how I am doing with my goals.

The first one I am going to talk about is my Bible reading. I had set a goal to read my Bible every single day. I didn't start doing this until April 14th, but now, I'm going strong. Another yearly goal of mine, was to complete my Bread Chart, which is a little pamphlet that you check off every day that you have completed your Bible reading. It is what you go by to make sure you read your whole Bible in 365 days. I also had a goal to study the word, which I have done, and want to continue doing. I studied on Building An Altar of Prayer, which I think I should talk about on here too. I set of goal to have a deeper understanding of the Word, and I hope I have grown my knowledge.

Monthly goals for my Bible reading is simple. Read Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, Esther, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Romans, and finish Psalms. I am writing this on the 8th of May, and I have completed Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, Song of Solomon, and I only have 38 chapters of Psalm yet.

They may seem like big goals, but if you put your mind to it, you can complete this! I did the math, and I only need to read 7 chapters a day to complete my goals for May. That may seem like a lot,  but you can start with 2 or 3, and work your way up.

     Start small. Stay consistent.

Another goal I have for this year is to complete one book. I have three projects I could work on. On April 1st, I started the project I wanted to complete by the end of the year. I am 16,000 words in right now, and I'm so proud of myself! I'm so glad that I have a love to write, and I want to finish a book is 2019! And I believe that I can do that.

Another goal I have is to read 75 books this year. I have read 11. Yes, I wish I have read more, but there is nothing wrong with having a reading slump. If I only read 20 books, that's fine. If I read 50 books, that is fine. The fact that I read, is something that I am proud of. I read 48 books last year, and I'm so proud of myself for that! I want to better myself. My goal for May is to read 10 books. As of writing this, I have read two. But I will achieve my goal.

     Start small. Stay consistent.

      Stay positive!

These are just a few of the goals I have set for myself. These are the goals that I believe I am going to complete, and I'm excited to see how far I will make it, and how close I'll get.

What are your goals? Write it down! You can do this! I hope this motivated you to achieve your goals, like I am striving to achieve mine. Make sure you prioritize your goals. Have I read my Bible today? Have I prayed? Have I read a book lately? Have I gone on a walk lately? When is the last time I exercised?

You can do this. I believe in you. Remember, you are loved. You are cherished. You are not alone. God bless. Have a great week.
