You promise it's different
You swear that you listened
I don't mind if you didn't
'Cause I just love the sound of your voice
You role-play the good guy, lemon juice your white lies
But I see 'em in the sunrise
You got me right in the palm of your hand and you know it
Oh, it's what you do
So let me drown, I'll be there with the band
Hit the sea bed, all I'd see is you

"I thought about what you said last night." Monty whispered in my ear while wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. I was standing at my locker, getting ready to head to first period. "Oh yeah? And?" I questioned while turning around in his arms, snuggling up to him a little too fast for someone who was really hurt by him last night. "You were right." "About which part?" I asked immediately with a tilt of my head. He shifted on his feet some and looked back at his friends before sending me a soft smile. "Um.. all of it." He answered. I knew that he didn't actually think about anything that I'd said but for some reason, I couldn't find it in myself to care. At least he's here and obviously still wants to be with me and that's enough for me. "Okay." I smiled with a nod of my head before standing on my tip toes and connecting our lips. He smiled into the kiss and squeezed me before his friends' calling his name caught both of our attention. "We gotta go, man. Remember what we wanna do before the pep rally?" Bryce said with a raised eyebrow and discreetly gesturing towards his book bag. "Yeah, yeah. I'm coming." Montgomery said before pecking my lips and turning to walk off. "You're not going to smoke, right?" I whispered, concerned about him being high during school yet again. "What? No, of course not, babe." He smiled before planting a kiss on my forehead and then walking off. "See how easy that is, guys? Just tell your girls' what they wanna hear and there won't be any issues." I heard him whispering to his friends' once he thought that I couldn't hear him anymore. That probably should've bothered me but it didn't. It actually kind of made me happy in a way because that meant that he wants to keep me happy. "Na, Allie is just whipped for you is all." Justin chuckled while smacking his shoulder. "Shut up." Monty chuckled back while shoving him. As soon as they were about to round the corner, I heard Monty's voice again. "You are right though." They all laughed as they turned out of my eyesight and my heart slightly ached at his words. Is it really that obvious to everyone that I'm wrapped around Montgomery's finger? What bothered me more than that, was that I didn't seem to care. Not even one bit.

So give me your worst excuses, any reason to stay
Give me your lips that taste of her, I'd kiss them again
I'd rather you walk all over me than walk away
Give me the worst of you
'Cause I want you anyway
So take me to every party and just talk to your friends
Why don't you let me down, I'll let you do it again
Go on and walk all over me, just don't walk away
Give me the worst of you
'Cause I want you anyway

"Baby, I swear it was just a one time thing. She doesn't mean shit to me, not like you do." Monty said as I sat on my bed crying. I found out from Jessica earlier, who found out from Justin, that while the guys' were at Bryce's the night before, Montgomery had sex with a girl who came over. "I-I don't even know why Justin told Jessica.. you didn't need to know that. I mean, it doesn't matter, I love you..." "You didn't want me to find out because you liked it..." "No, I didn't want you to find out so that you wouldn't get hurt." We interrupted each other back and forth. I stared at him for a second, my eyes so filled with tears it was making him blurry. "I was drunk and stupid high, babe. You know I never would've done that if I wasn't so out of my mind. It's never happened before and it won't happen again. I promise." He assured me. His voice sounded too smooth though, almost like it was rehearsed. I couldn't help but to wonder if this has happened before and I just didn't find out. Even if he has been cheating on me and giving me lame excuses, at least he still cares enough to give me an excuse. At least he still stays with me instead of breaking up with me for someone else. That must mean that he does actually love me, even if sometimes he makes mistakes. "What do you want me to say, Mon?" I whispered. He sat down next to me on the bed and wrapped me up in his arms. I shouldn't have felt so comforted by his touch considering the situation but I did. I leaned into him and he pulled my body into his lap in response. "I want you to say that you're gonna stay with me. You're gonna push through this with me and never leave my side. I know I fucked up Allie but.. I.. I need you." He admitted. I looked up at him and his eyes were filling with tears. Montgomery has a fucked up life and always has. He doesn't always make the best decisions because of how he was raised. I always end up giving him the benefit of the doubt because of that and.. because I love him and need him just as much as he needs me. I looked into his multicolored eyes for a minute before pulling his face towards mine and connecting our lips. He laid me down on the bed and hovered over me, never disconnecting our lips. I pulled away for a split second, just long enough to speak. "I'll always stay." I whispered. He roughly reconnected our lips in response and just a mere few minutes later, all of our clothes were discarded and we were connected in the most personal of ways. I knew that he slept with another girl last night but there was no way that it could've held any meaning.. not like it does with us. He's so slow and gentle with me and whispers "I love you's" the whole time, I know that she didn't get that out of him. I have a part of Monty that no other girl will ever have. That's what matters to me at the end of the day. We made love for half an hour before we both finished together. He cuddled with me for a few minutes before jumping up and getting dressed. He tossed me my clothes and I got dressed too. "We've gotta go if we wanna make it to that party." He said while throwing his flannel on over his tshirt. "You still wanna go to that?" I questioned confused and he nodded like it was obvious. "Oh.. okay. Well, I'll probably just stay here then.." "No, get up. You're coming." He said with a soft smile while pulling me off of the bed. "You really want me there?" I questioned and he nodded with a grin before pecking my lips. That's all I needed to hear to give me the push to get ready and go. I threw myself together while still making sure I looked cute before we headed out. The whole way there, he was great to me and made sure that I knew how much he loved me. Within a few minutes of walking into the house though, he changed. Just like he always does once he gets around his friends.. or really people in general. "Go hang out with the girls' or something, baby. We're gonna smoke and you don't like that anyways." He said to me as his friends' drug him away from me. Zach looked back at me, giving me a sympathetic expression. Zach is friends with Monty but he's also good friends with me at the same time. He likes Monty as a person and as a friend but he hates him as my boyfriend. He just doesn't understand our relationship. "Don't worry, Al. We'll keep an eye on him this time." Bryce chuckled back at me, earning a dirty look and a back slap from Montgomery. I stood in place for a minute before grabbing a beer with a sigh and walking off. I searched everywhere for the girls' and was pretty hurt once I realized that Jessica and Sherri were with the guys', including my boyfriend. I was the only one left out. I searched around and found Hannah with Clay, luckily they let me join them so I wouldn't be completely alone. They left early though, which left me completely alone. As I was grabbing my stuff, Zach approached me. "You leaving?" He asked and I nodded solemnly. "Don't leave, come hang out with us." He said while motioning towards the group that he had just left. I looked over there and noticed Monty having himself a great time, not missing my presence at all. "It's okay, I didn't really wanna come anyways. I'll just walk home..." "No, let me drive you, at least." He interrupted me while gently grabbing my elbow. I hesitated for a second but finally agreed. As we were walking out, I took one final glance back at my boyfriend, who looked like he was having a great time and offhandedly flirting with Sherri. Zach led me out of the door and we headed back to my house. The whole way there, I just kept my mind on all of the times I heard "I love you" out of Monty until we got to the party. At the end of the day, those times are the ones that really matter.
