"Unfinished business my arse! You're a dick!"

Allison was lying face up on the floor in a pool of scarlet, already congealing, blood. Elena could smell it before she saw it. That undeniable metallic scent that made the air thick with fear.

It clung to Elena's face as she turned white, her eyes locked onto Allison's nearly lifeless body. Elena had barely walked through the door before she had to excuse herself and stand outside in the cool breeze. She put the back of her hand over her mouth and steadied herself on the porch with the other, to settle her nausea.

"You okay?" Diego asked from the doorway, he looked pale. Elena gulped and nodded, breathing in and out to a steady pace to control her overwhelming sense of sickness.

"Yeah, I just....don't like blood." Elena admitted. "Is she okay?" Elena asked sheepishly, of course she bloody wasn't.

"You don't like blood?" Diego mused, Elena nodded. "That's a weakness." He said bluntly. Suddenly Elena's nausea disappeared and was replaced by irritation.

"Oh really?" Elena snapped. Diego smirked. Before Elena could bollock him any further, Luther pushed past them, almost sending Diego flying, Allison in his arms. Diego went to follow Luther but Elena stepped in front of him, briefly stopping him in his tracks.

"You're being a dick again." She mumbled, only half sarcastically, before heading to the car.

Luther hurried up the stairs, Allison still in his arms and immediately found Grace. Elena followed the Hargreeves' as they dashed up the stairs and into some sort of medical chamber. Why they had one of those in their house, Elena didn't want to know.

"She has a severe laceration to her larynx." Grace, the Hargreeves' mother, diagnosed.

"Will she live?" Luther asked, getting straight to the point. His eyes glistened with tears. Grace nodded and smiled softly.

"If we hurry." She said sweetly, "She's lost a lot of blood. She'll need a transfusion."

"I'll do it." Luther immediately volunteered.
