Jiyeon
I sat on Jungkook's bed, humbly leaning against his shoulder as some random horror movie blared jarringly on the TV. He was quiet and still, his eyes staring directly at the screen but his state of mind seeming a little preoccupied. Jungkook's brows were furrowed in, his mouth gaped open ever so slightly as he picked at the skin of his chin. He was completely tuned into his thoughts.
sitting up, I pause the movie, Jungkook's reaction being a little delayed due to his lack of attention. He looked towards me, his expression finally gaining some life. "What happened?"
"I paused the movie." I spoke as I set the remote down next to me on the bed.
"I meant why."
I sighed, looking up at him blankly. "Because you're not even paying attention. What's on your mind, Jungkookie?"
"Nothing." He mumbled, reaching over for the remote, but I quickly pushed it away from him. He glared up at me grumpily, huffing with agitation. "Really, Jiyeon?"
"Really." He groaned, easing childishly back in defeat. "So, Jungkookie," I crawled towards him, swinging my legs over him and seating myself on top his lap, "what's wrong?"
He gazed at me, the glint turning serious instead of the childish anger it had before. "Do you really want to go to Homecoming?"
"We talked about this yesterday, I don't see any problem with going. Plus, I've never been before." I wrapped my arms around his shoulder, his arms immediately hugging my waist. "Do you not want to go?"
He sighed heavily. "It's not exactly that... It's the fact that Homecoming is on your birthday. I really wanted to make this one special, with just the two of us, ya know?"
I nodded, I had a feeling that was the case but I didn't want to dive too deeply into it yesterday. "Do you want to cancel going to Homecoming then?"
"You want to go, don't you?"
"Well yeah, but I'm not gonna force you to come with if you already had plans for us. Let's just not go."
A small smile crept up Jungkook's lips as he reached out to cup my face with both his hands. "Did I ever tell you that you the sweetest most amazing person to ever set foot on this planet?"
"No, but you're telling me now, aren't you?"
He quickly pecked my forehead before speaking again. "But seriously, if you want to go to Homecoming, we can go. Maybe we can figure something out."
"How about... we go to Homecoming and afterwards we can spend some alone time together?"
"Would we even have enough time for anything after Homecoming? There is a set curfew for people or age."
"Since when?"
"Since forever?"
"Well, we'll just have to leave Homecoming early, no biggie."
"And you're okay with leaving early?"
"Of course." He nodded sharply, his mind going off into another thought. "What do you have planed for my birthday night?"
"Something." He replied back.
Something..?

Fuck, this is awkward. The double date had already started, but no progress was made. Me and Soojung sat together, tightly compacted at our side of the booth as Haeun could barely even speak to Johnny. She was so nervous she couldn't even look in his direction, which kept making Johnny shift the conversation over to me and Soojung.
