Yoongi

Jimin sat quietly in his room, his small fingers softly grazing the edge of his phone with anticipation. He gnawed at his bottom lip as he stared at his phone's blank screen intently, waiting for it to flash on.

He was waiting for a call.

And I was tired of sitting around in that anxious silence. "Come on Jimin, why don't you just call her first!?"

"Are you crazy!? I can't call her first!" Jimin barked back with urgency. "She promised she'd call me after school today." He wobbled his phone agitatedly within his hand.

"If you really wanted to ask her out, you should've called her." My body fell limp as I dropped back onto jimin's plush bed, sighing heavily as I fell.

Jimin, on the other hand, scowled at me as the tension continued to rise. "I'm not asking her out, I just need someone to go to Homecoming with me."

"No the hell you don't."

"Everyone else has a date!"

"Hoseok doesn't, I don't."

"You're not even going." He snapped away with a pout.

Well, he was right about that. I certainly didn't want to go, but neither did I want to miss out on such an opportunity.

I sighed, my lips pursing straightly. "And we don't even know if Hobi's going." Jimin frowned, his thoughts getting the better of him. "It Thursday now and nobody has even seen Hoseok."

"He just needs some time, his mother was in prison for ten years. If you knew what it was like to lose a mother then you wouldn't question his absence."

"Oh." Jimin's voice whispered, his eyes gazing down to idle at his feet. "I'm sorry... Yoongi."

I rolled my eyes, I knew what Jimin meant by sorry, and I didn't want to hear it. "You don't have to apologize, what happened, happened. There's nothing more anyone could do but move on, it's evitable."

Jimin nodded quietly, he wasn't sure what to add on, but it was cute watching his nervous expression.

"Back to Soojung." I commenced.

Jimin immediately perked up. "Oh right! What if she tells me no?"

"Aren't you two only going as friends? Why are you so uneasy about this?"

He flailed his arms out in shock, as if I already should've known the answer to such a simple question. "Because, she's Soojung!"

"For fucks sake, Jimin." I eased up, settling myself closer next to the younger. "It's not that difficult to pick up the phone, call her, and say 'hey, let's go to Homecoming together'."

"It's not that simple either, Hyung."

This was frustrating, nothing was getting through to him. "Yes it is." I mumbled quietly under my breath.

Jimin's mouth gaped open, preparing to counter back, but those soon-to-be words would never be unveiled. His phone lit up with a harmonious tone. Soojung was finally calling.

The frightened Jimin tousled the phone between his clumsy and nibble hands as he sharply muttered obscenities. He was soon able to calm his flimsy hands, holding his phone still before hurriedly answering the call.

Now was his chance.

"Hello?... Ah, Soojung, you called!" His face quickly warmed up, his large grin spreading across his face. How cute. "How was school.... Ah, that 's good. I'm glad... Oh me? I'm fine I guess. I'm spending time with Yoongi Hyung right now... Oh Soojung- no you go first..."
