3rd Person POV
Peter and Tony have a special bond.
The rest of the avengers knew this from the moment they saw the two in the same room. What struck them though, was how ALIKE they looked and acted. Both of them have the same concentrated look when they're in the lab, the same warm eyes, and self-sacrificing tendencies. At one point, Clint even jokingly said, "I wouldn't be suprised if he was your kid." To Tony, who immediately denied it. The avengers knew that he was just scared of how Peter would react if he told him how much he cared.
Meanwhile with Peter, there seems to be the same issue. Whenever Natasha would bring it up with Peter, he would go beat red and say, "H-he's not my dad!" But the avengers could see through him too. It was clear that they both just needed to admit it face to face.
So when they started to make excuses to hang out more often, the avengers saw their chance to get them to admit it.

"Hey, Peter is coming over." Tony said as he walked in the living room, sipping a cup of Starbucks coffee. Natasha smirked from her spot on the couch, putting down her book and saying, "If I didn't know any better, Stark, I'd say you cared for your kid." Tony snorted, "He's not mine..." He looked hesitant for a split second, causing Wanda to come behind him and peer in his thoughts, saying triumphantly, "As if! Your thoughts say otherwise!"
"Hey, don't look in my head first of all. And second of all, we talked about this, I'm not his dad... no matter how much I wish I was..." he murmured that last part under his breath, but it didn't miss anyone in the room. Steve sighed and said, "You know he worships the ground you walk on, right? You've been making exuses for him to come over, breaking lab equipment on purpose, from what Bruce is telling me. That kid probably feels the same way but is scared to admit it. So talk to him, Tony." Tony stayed silent for a few moments, then sighed and said, "I better get the lab ready. He'll be here any moment." And walked out.
The others looked at each other and silently agreed that they'd get those to to say it, no matter what. And the Avengers never back down from a challenge.
--Line Break from Peter and Tony being adorable♥️♥️♥️--
When Peter walked out of the lab with Tony, they knew this could be their chance. Tony excused himself and walked to make food (more like warm up something- that's the only thing he's allowed to do in the kitchen according to the Pepper Rules™️) Peter sat on the couch. He had gotten accustomed to the avengers a few months ago, and they already loved him like a nephew. Natasha took this moment to say, "So, to you see Tony as a father?" He froze, a blush creeping up his cheeks. "U-um w-why are you, uh, bringing t-that up again N-Nat?" He managed to stutter out, his hands shaking nervously.
"Well, it's clear you do. You should say something about it." Clint piped up from the vents. Peter put his hands to his face, saying, "It doesn't work like that. Plus, how would I even bring it up? 'Oh, hey Mr. Stark I think of you as my dad a lot and I cherish you.' Seriously, it's weird!" Natasha walked over to Peter, putting her hand on his shoulder, causing Peter to look up. "He already makes excuses for you to come over. He even texted your aunt about you staying for the weekend. If he didn't want you around, he would've said it. Plus, why do you think he has all these protocols about you? That monitor in your suit? It's because he loves you Peter, and just the thought of losing you is torturous to him. Don't you think that's a parental instinct?" She asked, never looking away from Peters eyes.
Peter was quiet for a moment, then said, "You're right. But I don't know how to say it!" Nat smiled at the anxious spider-child and said, "Just tell him you appreciate him as a father. And if he doesn't accept it, I'll beat him up. Deal?" Peter said quickly, "Okay, okay, just don't beat him up!" At that moment Tony walked in saying, "Hey Pete, let's go fix that bug in Friday real quick, then we'll come and watch a movie." Peter shot up with excitement, saying, "Okay! I can't wait!" As they walked off, the avengers could hear Peter ramble about movie choices and smiled. 'What a kid' they all thought.
Tony Stark POV
After about 20 minutes of working in the lab, I noticed Peter was fidgeting a lot, clearly nervous about something. "What's up with you kid? You've been quiet, usually I can't get you to stop talking." I said jokingly, and he said, "O-oh! I'm alright, Mr. Stark!" But I could tell the gears in his head were turning because after a minute he was back to fidgeting. I cast a worried glance at him but tried to focus on my work, thinking, 'Maybe he's just tired or something with school...'
Eventually though, I couldn't keep my worry at bay. "You know, you can talk to me if somethings on your mind kid." I tried to sound nonchalant, but a bit of worry seeped into my voice. Peter stayed quiet for a moment, then said, "Nat mentioned something. And I'm not really sure how to react or uh, put it into words, you know?"
I put my tools down and said, "Did it make you uncomfortable? Because I can make her stop-"
"No, not really! It didn't make me... uncomfortable it's just um... weird to think about and weird to say really. I'm just trying to find out how to put my thoughts into words, I guess..." Peter looked scared and had his gaze trained on the floor.
I walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey. If you really don't wanna talk about it, you don't have to." He shook his head and said, "No, it's not that I'm just... worried how it'll affect things." I gave him a reassuring smile and said, "Nothing you do would make me think of you differently, Pete. Trust me."
"O-okay..." He sat down on the bench and I pulled up a chair and watched him. "S-So I've um... never really had a father figure, you know? I never met my dad and Uncle Ben is kind of dead, so... I always felt like that part was missing, you know?" I nodded and signaled him to keep going, trying not to get my hopes up.
"Well I uh, guess I have to just say it I guess. The others have been telling me to just say it so I guess I will. You're like a father to me. And, I get it if you think that's weird, and if you don't want that-!" He was cut of by me giving him a hug. Hesitantly, he wrapped his arms around me.
"Thank god..." I said in his shoulder. "I thought that you wouldn't think so... I see you as a son, Peter." I pulled back and saw the biggest smile on his face that made my heart shudder.
As soon as we walked into the living room, we saw the others had pulled up a live feed from the lab. I smiled at them and said, "Well, I guess you proved the great genius wrong." Natasha smiled back saying, "I'm glad you accepted him. Now I don't have to go through the hassle of hiding your body. I went pale while Peter laughed.
"Oh don't start laughing kid. I plan to embarrass the hell out of you." I said pulling him into side hug with a smirk. He went pale and said, "Nononono please Mr. S-"
"Nope. I will only accept dad from now on." Peter laughed, saying, "Okay, okay! ...dad." His last word was quiet and he had a small content smile on his face.

3rd Person POV
Halfway through the movie, Peter fell asleep on Tony's shoulder, snoring softly. Tony looked at him fondly as he ran a hand through his hair. Peter snuggled closer, being half conscious. Tony only smiled wider at that. When he saw the other avengers watching him, he mouthed, "Not a word." The others just smirked. Natasha said, "Friday, save the footage of the last 5 minutes to the "Peter and Tony Being adorable" Folder."
Tony just rolled his eyes and leaned his head on Peters, eventually falling asleep to. The other avengers just draped a blanket over them, knowing they both needed sleep and smiled.
Because this father-son duo just can't get any cuter.
