ATTENTION!!!! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE NEW ENDING TO CHAPTER TWELVE DO SO NOW!!!!

Now that the yelling is out of the way. I have some things to say. You guys know I love comments and votes. But I have a goal, to get a ton on this chapter. I'm hoping it's the best chapter so far :) I'm working so hard on updating for you guys but I just recently went through a break up and things are still sorta complicated between me and him (if you follow my IG then you know who he is. Pictures now deleted though) I'm trying my best to get into a romantic state of mind. If this chapter is not as romantic as you guys may like, I will be editing it later on so check every once and awhile for new details added into a chapter. Same with my other stories as well . Thanks you guys sooo much for reading :*

I stand frozen in my tracks as I hear my father's heavy breathing mixed with mine. I can't seem to move, my leg muscles lock and my breathing suddenly stops. My father steps away from Ian and I am trembling. My eyes fall on Ian's body and I see no sign of movement. Only four bullet holes pierce his back.

No

My blood feels like its frozen as I try to walk to him. My walk turns into a run and I drop to my knees at his side. I manage to roll him over and his eyes stare up at the sky. His lungs gasps for air as he looks at me, his face could brake a heart.

"Karma's a bitch, huh?" He sorta laughs and I nod, tears soaking my cheeks. "I will always love you, Liz." Is his last words and he's gone.

"No. No!" I shake his shoulders. "Wake up, Ian!" I shout through sobs and I feel my father's arms pull me away from him. I struggle against them. "Don't touch me!" I scream and he releases. "Don't ever touch me again!" I run away from my father not even sure where I'm going.

Days pass and Luke is out of the hospital after the shooting. He stands on the other side of the barn as I get dressed for Ian's funeral. I stand in front of the full size mirror in the corner of the room. I smooth out my short black dress and run my fingers through my curled hair. Luke comes behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. I lean against his chest and I feel his chest rise and fall.

"I love you." He whispers and I close my eyes, feeling tears fall.

"I love you too." I whisper and his lips connect with my forehead. "Let's go"

I clear my throat and organize the notes I made.

"Uhm." I stutter "Ian was my best friend from the time I was three to now. He watched out for me, took care of my sister and her baby while I was in London. I could never thank him enough for that. He loved me as a sister and tried for years to get me to be his girlfriend. I loved him a lot and I know he loved me the same. I will never forget my best friend." I finish my speech and walk back Luke as everyone claps. Luke stands in front of Ian's open casket and I look down at Ian. His skin looks flawless, his signature cowboy hat lays over his folded hands. He's wearing the suit that his father forced him to wear for junior prom.

I lean down and press my lips to his forehead.

"Lizzy" I turn to face my mother, Sav, Becky, and Mom's new husband. I run to my mother and hug her tight. "I've missed you so much" I cry into her chest.

" I've missed you too, Honey" she smooths my hair and hugs me tighter.

We all walk out of the funeral home and to all of our cars. Luke helps me into his truck and I fix my running make up.

" I look like a hot mess." I laugh nervously and Luke reaches for my hand.

" you look beautiful. " he kisses my cheek and we start to the cemetery. A few minutes pass and Luke breaks out of the line of cars and heads in the opposite direction.

"Where are we going?" I ask but Luke stays silent.

" its a surprise " is his only response.
