Chapter Fourteen

I look down at my black dress and uncomfortably move to lean against the door of Luke's truck. My eyes feel heavy and dry from the amount of crying I've done in the past twenty-four hours. They close and I lean my head against the window. I stretch my legs out and set my feet on his lap. One of his hands leaves the wheel and lays on my ankle. His thumb draws circles on my skin and a shock runs through my leg. I smile and open my eyes to meet his gaze.

"Where are we even going? We've been in the car for hours" I say as the sun sets.

"We are almost there, Baby Doll." He smile at me and I close my eyes again.

(Luke'sPOV)

Liz's eyes fall shut as the sun sets and I continue to drive.

"I love you" she whispers as she falls asleep. I smile and whisper it back to her.

Words can not describe how much this girl has my heart, Liz is my life. I want her in my life forever.

Forever. I need her in my life forever.

I reach in the floorboard under my seat and pull out a small red box. I open it with my thumb and look at the small princess cut diamond ring laying perfectly in the box.

"Forever" I whisper, close the box, and place it back under the seat.

A few hours pass by and I pull into the driveway of my parents cabin up in the woods. The house is in the middle of a huge field of trees, fall is setting in so all the trees are different colors and looks beautiful. I hope Lizzie likes it.

The truck comes to a stop and I put it in park. I sigh out my nerves and open up the door. Lizzie moves her feet as she curls up into a ball in her seat. A soft moan leaves her lips and I smile.

"Luke" she mumbles through her soft moan and I chuckle. I walk around the front of the truck and I open the door slowly making sure not to make her fall out. She moans again and I can't keep myself from chuckling again. I pick her up and carry her into the house.  Small moans and sounds continue to leave her lips as I carry her to the bedroom.  I smile at every time she muffles my name or makes a noise. I make it to our room and lay her down. Once her body hits the bed her eyes open slowly.

"Where are we?" She asks and I just smile.

"Doesn't matter right now. What were you dreaming about, Baby?" I chuckle through the words and she blushes deeply.

"Oh nothing" she tone is flirty and cute as she pulls me down to her and presses her lips to mine. "I just want you" she says clearly and I kiss her again.

(Lizzie'sPOV)

Luke presses his lips mine again after I tell him I want him. He crawls completely onto the bed and hovers over me. His tongue thrusts into my mouth and connects with mine. For once in a long time I have everything I need.

Luke

The love of my life. He's all I need. When I'm with him everything just feels complete. This is what we needed. Time away from everything.

I kiss him back and slide my hands down his back, pulling off his shirt. His ruff hands connect with my smooth skin under my dress. He pulls off the dress and kisses down my body. Both of us are breathing heavy and every time his lips connects with a part of my body, my breath disappears.

The sheets are wrapped around my body when I wake. I reach to the side of the bed to find Luke but he's not there. Frowning, I stand from the bed and see my suit case laying on the floor with my robe on top. A note is stuck to the robe and I move it over as I pull on the warm piece of clothing. I then pick of the small letter.

DearBabyDoll, IknowI'mnotinbedbutitsbecauseI'minthekitchenmakingyourfavoritebreakfast. MeetmeinthekitchenandI'llhaveanothersurpriseforyou. Loveyou.

I can't help but smile and run through the huge cabin to find the kitchen on the other side of the house. Luke stands at the counter facing the door, I jump into his arms and he holds me in the air. I bury my face in is neck and hold him tight.

He sets me down, presses his lips to my forehead, and hands me a plate with pancakes, eggs, and bacon on it.

"What's all this for?" I ask as I set the plate down at the table next to his.

"Just showing how much I love my girl." He wraps his arm around my waist and kisses the top of my head. I can feel myself blush .

Thisman

We eat breakfast and Luke disappears into the bedroom. A few minutes later he walks out to the back and closes the door behind him. I shrug it off and walk into the bedroom to get dressed and laying on the bed is a small red, strapless, lace dress. Another note lays on the dress and I pick it up.

I can't help but smile and I walk to the bathroom to get a shower. I shave my legs and wash my hair and get out. I blow dry my hair and curl it afterwards. I apply my make up, and pull on the dress Luke picked out. I stand in front of the mirror and love what I see.

The dress shows off my curves and makes my tan legs look sexy.

Let'sgo

I run out of the house to the backyard and my breath is taken away. Small twinkling lights, that haven't been turned on yet, hang from every single tree. Red, yellow, and orange leaves cover the patio and grass. Luk stands at the end of the yard in jeans, boots, and a red dress shirt. The sun starts to set and before I can even react, Luke is down on one knee and tears swell up in my eyes. I take a deep breath and walk to him. Once I reach him he takes my hand and reaches into his pocket with his other hand.

I start to speak but he stops me.

"Elizabeth. I love you more than words to say. Ever since your father walked into my life when you were sixteen years old, I wanted you as my best friend. Now I'm lucky enough to have that and more. I want you to be mine forever" I wipe away tears as he opens the small red box in his hand. I smile through the tears already knowing where he is going. "Marry me, Lizzie?" I continue to cry as he stands and awaits for my answer.

"Yes." I accept and he slides the ring onto my finger and pulls me into each shattering kiss.
