Blue shadows of winter,
lacking warmth or song.
Shivering and bluster,
frozen mercy all year long.Teardrops suspended,
hearts frosty and cold.
Their minds ever so clouded,
they dare not break the mold.A dark chill creeps in,
a respecter of no man or kin.
For those seeking out warmth,
won't find it in skin. The only true heat to be found,
is hidden in the stars,
available to those who know they have scars.A spring that is promised,
a summer that will come.
A hand that melts ice, and wipes tears with their thumb.Written on the 08/04/19
