"Senshino shina, perhaps you're too dumb to understand." Kenji Glared, giving off an unsettling aura . "Hmmph!" spat Hinata, beside Kenji.

shina was rather confused. Her mind started ringing , and her heart beat couldn't stop beating. /Thump! Thump/
-"Is this some joke?.. what do you mean.. " , she laughed awkwardly, while staring at the both of them.

"Me and Kenji found intrest in each other, and Kenji decided to date me!, isn't that right, honey?", Hinata seductively looks at Kenji, then turns to Shina. "Of course, i've always loved you from the day you were introduced to me", he replies, intending to make Shina jealous.

"You two.. Kenji! weren't you dating me?.. but why are you suddenly-"
-"Oh cut the crap! no one would date a loner like you!, besides, Hinata looks even more prettier than you!" Kenji mercilessly spat back at her, and tears started to flow from Shina's eyes.

"After all, you were just a 'stepping stone' to our relationship!" Hinata says with a dark, happy tone. /Stepping stone.. stepping stone../ the words echoed throughout her mind, and her tears started to form tiny droplet marks on her uniform.

Speechless, and in a broken state, Kenji and Hinata started to turn their backs and laughed mercilessly and their image started fading little by little as they walked away.

"Why..what.. just happened.." She cried heavily as she dropped onto the floor, in a complete wreck, and clenched her fists.

She wanted to hate them, but she refused to. She just let it loose and tried to forget about everything.

She went back on her way home that day, and threw her bag on her bed, and started endlessly crying in pain, and her heart felt like it was going to be stabbed a few times , maybe more than that.

Soon as she realizes that loneliness will always follow her and wreck her, she decided. She wanted to commit into a priestess, because there would feel better than the city, as she thought. The temples.. the peace, even though there were other priestesses there, she wouldn't mind as long as she had peace.

Mother called for dinner, and Shina, her younger brother and father took place at their seats. As they were gulping down the food, her mother realized she barely touched anything, and she was lost in her thoughts when she was poking he chopsticks at the rice, with a doll-like expression.

"Whats wrong, Shina?" Her mother looked at her, worried. Shina stopped playing with her food. She looked at her mother , emotionless.

"I want to become a miko priestess." she replied, in a dull tone. Her father and mother shockingly looked at her.

"Why would you do.. that..?" mother replied worriedly. "..Because i want to, is it wrong, and my results aren't getting any better. so why not commit myself to the god?"she looks at the table, holding back her tears.

"If thats what you want, and we don't have to worry, because we could still see you." Her father replies, coldly. "Its also not a thing to worry..."Her mother says relievedly, looking at Shina.

"I want to serve at Imanoko's temple." She says again, staring at her parents. "I-imanoko? but that place is rumoured to be quite far, in the green meadows." mother replies.

"I want to serve after my graduation."
Shina blankly stares at her parents.

"Thats okay, then.. its settled." Her father pushed his glasses up further, to stop it slipping down his nose bridge.
