Chapeter 12

Still Kesata's POV

After i left my loving wife with endless questions trapped in her head and my unborn daughter, I proceeded to drive back home.

Tears were pooling in my eyes and i could feel anxious.

It was hard to breathe. But i endured that feeling because i knew i would experience something more worse.

After some time, i managed to pull up to the Sanagi mansion where i could see the front door open.

I swallowed my saliva in anxiety as i gently pushed it open.

None of the butlers or maids were home.

Just a cooling wind that chilled me to my bone.

I stepped inside to see Rei Sanagi standing just a few feet away from me.

She was wearing a weird grin. The kinds you see an evil villain wear.

I hid my scent of fear with a quick smile.

"Well, mother.. you're here.." i quickly interrupted the fear that was trying to intoxicate me.

"Of course. Come in, i have something to show you.." she beckons me to come further in with her nail polished fingers and extravagant clothing.

Suddenly, a few men in black masks grabbed me from behind while i trashed around.

Eventually i found it no use as i was thrown into my room.

I was tied to a chair nearby while my stepmother and stepsister were standing in a dark corner.

My stepmother emerged from the dark corner with an evil laugh from her red matte lips.

I sweat in fear and my eyes felt more teary than ever.

The mysterious men in black masks stepped away from me as i looked up for my last moment.

I saw her pulling on a stain free glove while grabbing a coffee cup with a pack of  rat poison in her other hand.

"Got nothing to say, stepson?" i could hear her tearing the pack of rat poison while the powder was poured in.

I heard quite a deal of rat poison poured in.

I didn't say anything.

"Really? no final words?" she picked a teaspoon up and thrusts it inside the poisoned coffee i was going to drink obviously.

She diluted it by spinning the teaspoon gently around.

Fear rests its hand on my shoulders.

Cold sweat broke out.

"What exactly do you want, Rei ?" i blurted out in anger while staring at the floor.

"What a rude son, calling me by my name." she chuckles while bending down to look at me.

"I have always wanted to own the family assets and everything that belongs to the Sanagi company!" she yells in frustration while her daughter was preparing the poisoned coffee cup on the tray.

I listened in silence.

"I have always craved for the goods and profit from the begining before your mother died!" she pushes some strands of her hair back while grabbing a cigarette and a lighter to light it.

My eyes darted from each corner while looking up at her.

"Since you're going to die, i'll tell you anyway. Your mother didn't die from an illness. I poisoned her. But i knew your father would get suspicious if she died straight away, so i decided to poison her, intoxicate her, little by little until she dies." she smiled without any guilt.

Kesata felt rage building in his heart. He wanted to break the binds on his hands and legs. He wanted to grab her by her hair and slash her to pieces.

But he was too powerless to do that.

"What else have you done, slu*?" he said without realizing.

SLAP!!

A faint red mark was left on his face.

But he did not flinch even a bit.

Rei opened her lips to continue while lighting her cigarette.

"After that, i knew your father was in grief so i seduced him into marrying me and giving him the thought of having a new wife would be a good idea. So after some time, i poisoned him and created the illusion that he had a "mysterious illness". So he died not long after, and i wasn't caught."

I glared at her viciously.

"You know why?" her breath was near my ear.

"Why?" i held back my anger because i knew she would enjoy me in helpless anger while she would torture me with endless verbal abuse.

"Because i pulled the perfect crime.." she whispers while she gestures Reina to bring the tray of the poisoned coffee over to me.

My eyes widened with fear while holding back more of my tears.

Forgive me, Mei, my daughter..

I stared at her for one last time.

"Since your parents died with the same method, YOU WILL TOO!"

She grabbed the coffee and held it against my mouth.

"Now you can reunite with your parents.." she left her sentence uncontinued.

"IN HELL!!" she pushed the coffee cup into my mouth, forcing me to drink all of it while i felt a choking at my throat. My vision was blacking out, and the last thing i remember is Rei and Reina bursting into a crazy laughter while i couldn't hold on anymore..
