A priestesses' fate isn't so cruel

Chapeter 3

Shina fluttered open her eyes. The crickets are still cricketing, and the sun's rays start to shine, little by little.
She heard a loud knock outside her thin door.

"Shina, its time to get up. You can miss breakfeast, and you won't get it if you're not punctual." , Sarata's voice penetrating the wall.

"I see, i'll be out in a minute, but where is the banquet hall?" , Shina turned to face Sarata, that was outside her door.

"I'll lead you there. After that, i will show you around this temple. If you are punctual enough.", Sarata still standing outside. "I see.. i'll get ready now, and thank you!"- -"Stick to your words", Sarata replies formally.

After Shina changes, Sarata leads Shina to the banquet hall, where all of the other priestesses ,yin yang masters and priests are.

The high priestess, with her fan in her hand, tapping it on her thigh, while standing up walks up to Shina and Sarata.

"Good. I like your punctuality. Now you can pick any vacant seat available in this banquet hall.", She smiles, but pauses for a moment before she sits down.

She looks at Shina and observes her for a little. Sarata broke the silence." High priestess Meikata Sonorei, is there anything you need us to do, that kept you staring at us?", she bows while the other priestesses and the other temple members staring at them.

"I'm sorry. You may go on your way. I just thought about.. something " Meikata brooded. Soon, as Meikata walks back to her seat, the silence is penetrated by endless whispers and gossip.

"Our high priestess was never so kind like that before," one of them says.

Soon, after Sarata and Shina finished their meals, Sarata shows Shina around the palace like temple. It was so spacious and neat, it would be mistaken for a real palace.

At the end of the tour, Sarata hands over a list of chores Shina needed to do. which was percisely,

mopping the floors, Sweeping the floor, Wiping the windows and pay respects to Imanoko.
Shina sighed at the work she had to do, but did not complain, because it was at least better than sitting at home alone with no friends at all.

She mopped the floors, Swept the floor, Wipe the windows of every floor and finally, without realizing that its already noon, paid respects to Imanoko.

She looked around to also find that other temple residents going about their work, mostly cleaning, weeding, and most of the chores.

After she had already done her chores, she decided to peek around a little, curiosity overwhelmed her. The temple is so big and beautiful, as it also had a lot of rooms.

She had found some priests writing on a talisman in a room, maybe for the temple. She also found Sarata, who she found was writing in some records and paperwork.

The room's shelves were full of paper, and she was swishing her brush away that formed words on the papers she chose.

She seemed really busy. Soon, a bell tied to a string leading somewhere downstairs start ringing.

"SHRINGG"..the bell started. As soon as she heard it, she quickly placed her papers aside, places the brush back into the inkpot and starts to rush downstairs.

Shina hid in time, but to stop her curiosity from going anymore further, decided not to be suspicious and follow where that maiden went.

Soon as she strolled around since she'd done her work, She heard some priestesses whisper to each other.

girl 1:"Psst! hey! have you heard?? that a Yin yang master from the temple of Gochirei , is transferring here?!"

girl2: "Yeah!! but he comes here because i heard his family isn't far!"

They started giggling as they walked away, and smiles never left their faces.

And that's when she understood-

and that's when she saw him-

He caught the attention of everyone there. The sun shone mostly on him, as he walks towards the entrance.

His short, soft coffee coloured hair, his white skin, His body is obviously fit, and his lips and eyelashes matched like a girl's.
