*Arielle's P.O.V*

A week has passed of us being here and it isn't as bad as I thought. I don't have as bad anxiety as when we were a Arizona but I still take my pills. It doesn't make me feel normal, which I hate, but it's better than being on edge.

Leaning against Bella's truck with one earphone in and one out, I raised my eyebrow at Bella. She was currently staring at Edward Cullen from across the parking lot.

"Someone is eyeing up Mr Cullen," I joked, sliding my foot to and fro on the ice.

"Shut up," Bella blushed before she put my other earphone in my ear.

I rolled my eyes before going in my bag. Rummaging through, I reached for my book. A classic of 'Wuthering Heights'. I felt nauseous as a wave of panic settled into my mind making me sway slightly, eyes watering. Tires screeching, I darted my eyes up to see a van spinning out of control.

People say in near death experiences that your life flashes before your eyes, yet nothing happened. I was frozen and as much as I knew I should move, my feet were planted firmly on the floor, and I knew that I was going to die. I was going to be smashed between a truck and van, and my reaction speed was slower than ever.

I dropped my bag after being shoved away from Bella, hitting the iced concrete head first. Rolling onto my side slowly, the snow painted red, my eyes went in and out of focus. Blood. Not a lot, but not a little either. I wasn't dead. I had to keep telling myself that before I went into a full blown panic attack after what just happened.

"Bella," I mumbled, pushing myself up, placing my hand at my forehead, blood seeping through my fingers.

Using my other hand on the truck to support myself, I guided myself to Bella. It was only then I felt the severe throbbing in my head, and slid to the floor beside a dazed Bella.

"You okay?" I asked her closing my eyes as they watered for a second time.

"Oh my god, you're bleeding!" She disregarded my question as everyone crowded.

"No shit Sherlock," I grumbled wiping the blood with my hand.

My eyes felt heavy, as Bella leaned me onto her. Ignoring the panicked voices of everyone else, and guilty apologies of the driver, I slipped into the darkness that welcomed me with open arms.

"You nearly exposed us for some humans!" Rosalie hissed as we sat in the living room with everyone apart from Carlisle.

"I couldn't just let them die!" I argued.

"Yes you could! We don't even know what the blonde one is," she hissed.

"I don't think she knows what is happening to her," Jasper stated.

"Why is that?" Esme inquired.

"Her emotions. When her eyes went purple and we noticed, it was pure confusion. If she knew, it would of been panic," he informed, eyebrows furrowed. "Not to mention she would of tried to explain or hide it."

"Carlisle might know something," Esme suggested.

"Until he gets back, let's think of what we know," Alice said, smiling.

"So far all we know is that her eyes change colour, she has something to do with electricity, I can't read her mind, Jasper can't manipulate her emotions without getting a shock, anything else?" I recalled.

"I felt Bella's panic when the van came, and Arielle felt it as well without knowing what was happening yet. Her eyes were blue when Bella felt panicked," Jasper hinted.

"You think she's an empath?" I questioned, reading his thoughts.

"A form of one maybe," he replied.

Carlisle came through the door at vampire speed looking between us all.

"I heard everything as I came in," Carlisle informed calmly.

"What do you think?" Questioned Emmett seriously.

"Whether she is or she isn't, we can't ignore this. Even if we're wrong, we should still look into it. She should be in school so try to be observant," he told us.

"Even after the incident at school?" Esme looking just as confused as I was.

"She just has a concussion and butterfly stitches to close the gash on her forehead but she'll be fine," He smiled softly to assure us she'd be fine.

"And Bella?" I asked eagerly.

"Perfectly fine."

*Arielle's P.O.V*

"Dad I'm fine," I assured him for the fifth time.

"Better to be safe than sorry," he guided me to the sofa and made me sit down handing me a blanket and pillow. "Jacob called, asking if you were okay," Dad spoke seriously.

"He did? How did he find out?" Curiosity laced every word.

"I rang Billy. I knew you two were close. Thought he should know about it."

"I'll give him a call now," I smiled, gently taking my phone as Dad handed it to me.

I clicked his contact and rang it as Dad left to talk to Bella.

"Elle! God, are you okay?! Charlie rang my dad saying you got in an accident, what happened? Who did it, I'll smack em so hard their grand-children won't see it coming, that's a promise," Jake ranted through the phone in one breath.

"I'm fine, don't worry. Just got one of them tape thingy stitches on my forehead," I tried to explain.

"Anything else?" Jake suggested; I could practically see his smirk through the phone.

"Concussion?" My voice broke into laughter at the end, causing a throb in my head.

"How are you laughing right now?" Jake chuckled.

"How are you?" I retorted smirking into the phone.

"We need to make plans. Ever since you weren't allowed to come visit we practically only spoke through the phone," Jake laughed.

"Yeah, well we spoke everyday," I smiled.

"Yeah well, we were inseparable so," He trailed off.

"So Saturday? Bella's meant to be going shopping and like hell am I going," I joked, snuggling further into the blanket.

"Sure, I'll pick you up at 5," he arranged.

"Sure. See ya, Jakie," I smirked, already imagining his eye roll.

"See ya, Little Swan," he retorted.

I hung up the phone and let out a little laugh. Forks wasn't as bad as Bella was acting, other than nearly dying, it was pretty good here.
