{2} - Witness of the unwitnessable

*Arielle's P.O.V*

I sat nervously in class. Everyone in my class were older than me, and it was all so I could be in the same classes as Bella. According to teachers, they thought this would make me feel more welcome. It only made my nerves heightened to be in a room of people I didn't know who were a couple years older than me. I was seated beside Jasper Cullen, and I had noticed him giving me concerned glances every time I got scared or nervous.

I didn't understand how or why, but a sudden wave of calmness spread throughout my body, as the lesson neared its end. Maybe it was the fact it was ending? When the class ended, I rushed to find my sister as we shared lunch as well. I found her seated at a table with a bunch of other people. Walking over slowly, Bella smiled at me relieved.

"Elle, hey come sit with us," Bella motioned me to sit down, so I dragged a chair along and sat beside her.

"Hey, Bells," I greeted, before diverting my eyes back to the table.

It was silent at the table, the only sounds being everyone else in the background. I looked up to see all the eyes on me. I quickly looked back down and fiddled with my hands, scared that if I did one thing wrong, my life would be over.

"You must be Arielle-Grace Swan, Bella's sister," A boy's voice said from next to me.

Glancing up, I became face to face with a boy, surprise. He had oil black hair, and slight skin problems from what you could see, but who was I to judge.

"Just Elle or Arielle, Arielle-Grace just sounds--" I cut myself off to shudder.

Everyone laughed and he introduced himself to be Eric. He was very helpful, which in certain circumstances I would appreciate, but relying fully on someone would only cause embarrassment if it failed, and I wasn't going to risk ruining my school life already.

I stood awkwardly outside of music class waiting for class to file in first. Fear was one of the main emotions I felt, alongside anxiety and panic. The class filled and the teacher settled the rest of my new classmates into their seats. I shuffled over to the desk and handed him the slip to sign.

"Oh! Class, there is a new student here today, Arielle-Grace. I would like you all to be very welcoming to her. Please seat yourself on the keyboard beside Edward Cullen," he points to a keyboard next to a golden haired boy.

I walk to my seat, and quickly sat down to avoid any further humiliation. I noticed the boy staring at me so my gaze remained at the keyboard.

"Today, you can play around with the keyboards, and maybe play a song if you can," he smiled as everyone switched on the keyboards.

Following everyone else's actions, I switch my keyboard on. Everyone just laughed and talked, while I start playing John Legend 'All of Me', quietly singing, while everyone joked. The entire lesson, Edward seemed to be staring at me in confusion and concentration.

Class ended much to my relief, and I walked out the class to see a group of people waiting at the door. They were all extremely pale, and had golden eyes, seemingly waiting for someone. A pixie-looking girl looked up at a boy, grinning before bouncing over to me, the others following slowly, cautiously.

"Hi! I'm Alice Cullen, this is my family Rosalie, Emmett, Jasper, and Edward," she smiled, as Edward joined his family.

"Hi, I'm Arielle nice to meet you," I gave a small smile nervously.

"I know. I was wondering if you'd like to be friends?" Her voice was like wind chimes, gently singing.

"Alice," Edward warned, frowning.

"Umm, sure," I smiled.

A small wave of nausea washed over me as she hugged me. The one she told to be Jasper furrowed his brows in concern.

"Are you okay?" His voice had a Southern accent and was calming. "You've gone pale."

"Fine," I smiled softly.

My eyes stung and I blinking and rubbed them. As I opened my eyes they all gasped and stared wide-eyed.

"What's wrong?" I questioned, worried.

"N-nothing," Edward stuttered as my eyes stung once again.

Blinking my eyes, they all went confused and shifted on their feet.

"I'll see ya later?" I said, more as a question before hurrying down the hall and to the car, where Bella stood waiting.

*Edward's P.O.V*

I looked at my siblings in disbelief, as we watched her hurry away.

"Her eyes.." Rosalie trailed off in wonder.

"They changed colour to purple. How is that possible?" Jasper asked.

"I don't know, but I can't read her, nor Bella's, mind," I stated.

"Why what happened?" Emmett questioned.

"Bella's is blank, but Arielle's is almost like static electricity," I explained.

"I can control her emotions, but it's difficult, and I get a buzzing feeling inside me. Like electricity," Jasper was almost in wonder while we all were shocked.

"We'll discuss this at home," I suggested.

And with that, we were left with no answers, and a girl who seemingly had no clue what was going on.
