"She's still out," I stated, appearing in the kitchen after laying her on the couch.

"She did something," Bella piped up, clutching Edward's arm. "It was me feeling the emotions, but then I went numb and I think she felt it. Then she fainted and it came back," She furrowed her brows looking down.

"So she's a form of empath and has the lightening power thing, cool," Emmett grinned, leaning on the counter.

The sound of tiny pitter patters of feet nearing the kitchen made me run to see my best friend. I saw her holding the sides of tables, her hands guiding her around. I held my arm around her waist to support her, letting her lean on me. I guided her to a stool and lifted her onto it.

"Are you okay?" I asked her sending a wave of calmness to cover her feeling of being overwhelmed.

"What the hell am I?" She whispered, trembling.

"Carlisle did research for you. We think you may be an empath. They can feel other people's emotions and change them. And we also found out how to control your lightning bolt, however it may take time," I explained watching her face carefully.

"Okay," she whispered, "When do we start?"

Her hand flashed a bolt as it hovered around the pencil, lifting it upwards. We had told her that Bella was making emotions to help her, when really I was throwing them at her. Bella's emotions wouldn't help her, in fact we all agreed Bella would do the opposite.

The pencil rolled around in the air, smoke slowly raising from it. The trees from outside out house swayed calmly as wind rustled through them. The calmness I sent her, did the complete opposite of what I thought would happen and instead, the bolt disappeared and the pencil fell. In one hand was what she was practicing with, and the other was holding a tissue to her nose.

I sent anger to her and the pencil exploded, wood chips hovering in the air. She jumped and the bolt slowly collected sticks from the ground turning it into a ball of sticks and pencil remains. I almost felt guilty sending her rage, as the bolt turned into a red colour and her hand jumped back with a hiss and whimper.

Her palm was now bright pink and we had an idea of what happened. It had burnt her.

"Shit," she hissed, holding her hand to her chest.

"Oh, dear! Come on," Esme quickly led Arielle into the kitchen as I held my breath.

I didn't want to breathe in. Although she wasn't bleeding it was one hell of a burn.

"We have to help her. How can she go to school if she burns things?" I asked, turning to Edward.

"Keep her calm throughout the day. She can train after school and hopefully she'll gain control," Edward spoke confidently.

"We best hope it works," Emmett folded his arms lifting the pencil shards then dropping the again.

One thing I knew for sure, was that this could be dangerous.

"Can I tell Dad?" I asked as Esme bandaged my hand.

"Tell me what?" Emmett joked.

"Fuck off boulder," I snickered.

Emmett claimed to be my new father which I despised. He only said it because I'm small.

"That is probably not a good idea, until we know exactly what it is happening to you," Edward spoke calmly.

"But he's my Dad," I frowned, feeling conflicted.

I didn't want to disappoint the Cullen's, for reasons I didn't know yet. Maybe because they treat me differently to how my own mother did, however it felt wrong to tell them and not Dad.

"It's for his own protection, Little Swan," Jasper gently held my other hand as I winced as Esme tucked the last bit of bandage in.

"Thanks Esme," I flexed my fingers, wincing.

"You can get through this Baby Swan, I pinkie promise," Emmett grinned, sticking his pinkie out.

We looped our pinkies smiling like little kids.
