*Arielle's P.O.V*

It was school time, and I was not happy about it. My head was pounding, my eyes would not stop burning, and I felt nauseous.
I changed into a white loose sweater with black leggings and Ugg boots before brushing through my hair. I went into the bathroom and brushed my teeth and did some light makeup. I grabbed some sunglasses and folded them on my sweater for my eyes.

"Hey Elle, you done?!" Bella shouted from downstairs.

Taking one last glance in the mirror I walked down the stairs grabbing my bag, before Bella gently placed a hand on my shoulder, stopping me.

"Um, Edward picked us up," Bella whispered, looking at me expectantly.

I hummed, and shuffled out walking beside Bella.

"Hey Arielle," Edward greeted warily.

"Hey," I mumbled getting in the backseat and leaning me head on the window, closing my eyes.

Edward was nice to me from the days I had been with him. I trusted him, but I never thought I would.

*Bella's P.O.V*

Edward was a vampire. I knew that. He told me about his theories on my sister. I looked back to see my sister with her eyes closed and head against the glass. And today, since almost one of every Cullen was in her classes, we were going to watch carefully to see what she was.

*Arielle's P.O.V*

I was sat in Maths and Edward was on a table beside me. My pencil rolled closer to the edge of my desk. My eyes burnt quickly, before my hand reached out to grab it. Before my hand even touched it, an almost lightening bolt shot from my hand and zapped it closer to me. I jumped as my hand tingled. I was shocked and had no idea what just happened. I reached my hand up, as a small trickling in my nose grabbed my attention. An almost black blood, dripped onto my hand, as I stood up alarmed.

"Um, sir? May I be excused?" I asked, as he nodded I bolted out the door and into the girls bathroom.

I was surprised to see Rosalie and Alice already in there seeming like they were waiting for someone. They closed their eyes taking a slow steady breath before opening them again.

"Woah, are you okay?" Alice asked innocently, making me a tad bit suspicious.

"I don't know what's wrong with me," I shook my head quickly, tears brimming my eyes as my nosebleed stopped.

"Woah, calm down. Talk to us," Rosalie spoke carefully, placing her hands gently on my shoulders.

Me and Rose got along quite well which surprised her family for some reason; I wasn't sure why yet.

"I don't know what happened," I cried, watching as Rose grabbed a tissue and wet it, handing it to me. "Thanks," I whispered, turning to the mirror, before gasping.

My eyes were a bright purple, completely different to my normal brown colour. I scrunched my eyes up, and they faded back to brown. I quickly wiped my lip before running out and to the parking lot. My bag slapped against my leg as I ran before slowing to a quick walk.

It took a long time to walk all the way to Jacob's school, but when I did it was their lunch break. I quickly ran in and to the place where Jacob was laughing with his friends. They were sat at a bench and looked happy.

"Jacob hey. Can I talk to you?" I breathed quickly, giving a small wave to his friends how smiled at me.

"Yeah, but how did you get here? Did Bella drop you off? Aren't you meant to be in school?" Jacob's eyebrows furrowed as his friends stood awkwardly.

"Ran most, then walked. No Bella did not. And yes I am," I rushed out as Jacob chuckled.

"Guys this is Arielle. Arielle this is Embry, Quil and Jared," he introduced.

"Hi guys, mind if I steal your girlfriend for a sec?" I smiled as Jacob faked shock.

They nodded and I quickly dragged him into the woods by his school.

"What is this about?" Jake questioned very confused.

"I'm not too sure myself to be honest but here goes," I picked up a stick and set it on a rock before focusing really hard.

I frowned and became frustrated that it wasn't working. I was shocked to see it float up by a purple light like bolt, my eyes burned and I now knew what it meant. They had changed colour. My nose trickled and Jacob stood in shock, staring at the now burnt stick as it fell into ashes. I stood and looked at Jacob who stood shocked.

"Your nose is bleeding," he looked up into my eyes before stumbling back.

"That also seems to happen," I wiped my nose with the back of my hand, as it slowed down.

"How? W-what? How?" He stuttered, he gently got his thumb and gently traced it under my eye, I melted into his touch.

It burned, and his eyes widened before he pulled me into a hug.

"I don't know what's happening to me Jake. You're the first person I've told," I whispered as I nestled my head into his chest.

Ever since I got in Forks, I went to Jake's almost everyday, we were closer than any friend I had ever had.

"Well then I'm honoured. Thank you. For trusting me with this," he smiled at me softly before he wrapped his arm around my shoulder and led me to his bike.

"C'mon. I'll give you a lift home. I have free period anyway," He threw me his helmet and helped me on the bike before getting on himself.

I walked into the school just as the bell rang, signifying that it was Gym. I walked in and sat on the bleachers in the corner. Rosalie, Jasper and Edward waved at me, looking as if they were waiting for something. I waved back before grabbing my pencil, and turning slightly, throwing my leg over the other side of the bleachers so that I was straddling it.

Setting my pencil down, I tried my hardest to focus. Tried being the key word since I couldn't keep my mind away from how scared I was. I lifted my hand slightly, feeling the burn in my eyes. My eyes watered, and my head pounded, but I couldn't stop the shaking fear of not knowing away. A purple electric-like charge slowly came from my hand connecting with the pencil lifting it up. My eyes widened and suddenly I felt different emotions. Fear, curiosity, calmness, anxiety, and relief. I panicked, for no reason at all, and the pencil flew to the other side of the room, the lightning bolt never detaching. I clenched my hand into a quick fist, the bolt disappearing. The trickling feeling down to my upper lip, rolled down and dripped onto my fist. I was suddenly glad that Jake gave me a pack when we arrived at school.

*Edward's P.O.V*

We watched curiously as the pencil levitated, attached to her hand by a pink-purple lightning colour. It fascinated us all, but just from the expression on her face, you could tell she was frightened.

"Guys, that's not the only thing she can do," Jasper mumbled looking at us as Rosalie turned to us.

"What do you mean?" Rosalie sighed folding her arms.

"If my theory is right, then I believe she is an empath. I threw a couple emotions at someone and she felt it. I held it on them, and then they were numb and she had the emotions I gave them," Jasper explained.

"Well then it seems we have a scared little girl to help," Rosalie piped up, a caring look in her eyes.

"Rosalie, she's 16," I groaned.

"She's still little to me. Height and metaphorically speaking," She gave a small smirk before leaving.
